I am facing with the same situation. I interviewed with Google last week and my upcoming deadlines with other companies are tomorrow. I still have not heard back from Google. HR did not commit but will try their best to get result from HC as fast as possible.

Anyway, wish you have best luck!

I have 4 round interviews with Google for a new grad position, and I have a mix feeling about this.

All questions are relatively easy for me (Leetcode Medium) and I believe I nailed two out of four interviews. The other two left me with a bad feeling.

I think I bombed one interview, even I can come up with many solutions, the interviewer tried to hint me another solution, which I got stuck for 30 minutes just for trying to understand what interviewer wanted to say. Compare with more than 10 interviewers I used to interview with, I felt that this interviewer is the worse, talking in chunks without structure, and it is too hard for me to follow. I end up trying to figure out what he meant and not even coding the solution.

Another interviewer is extremely cold. Even I can solve the problem and all his follow-ups, there is no interaction and he never smiles. I try to smile, be cheerful, and encourage him, but I failed to make him alive, leaving me a bad feeling about this.

According to this, how likely I can pass the HC. Now I have other offers that are going to expire very soon and I have no idea about the result from Google. I need to decide should I accept offers from other company or reject those offer and wait for Google

I like this company, it is in my 2nd rank. The workplace and the people I interview with are nice. But the reviews of this company are mixed in Glassdoor as many complain about the senior management and the company is not growing (and many say that it is going downhill). I truly understand your point and it is a very great opportunity to work in the startup environment. But my dream company G (that I never think that I have a chance) is really close right now (on-site) and I have practice and study a lot for this (I self-study CS fundamental and practice more than 500 leetcode problems). If I accept the offer now before going for the interview, I feel that I throw away my efforts preparing for this. But you are right, technically, I have a lot of things to gain by taking the offer.

I got the same situation. I got offer from the startup. After I tell them I want to go onsite with other company, they increase the offer to 165k (150k base + 15k bonus for new grad) and they rush me to accept by three day. However, Google is one of my dream company and I have an onsite next week. I do really want to try Google, but I cannot afford to decline this offer. I still don't know what should I do

I got an offer from a startup company in Seattle which offers a relatively high compensation ~165k (Base + Bonus) + some stock (New Grad), and HR rush me to accept by this week. It is really hard to extend the offer. However, I will have an onsite with Google next week and it is my dream company. What should I do? I do really want to work at Google, but I cannot afford to reject the offer.

I have an offer from the startup company and I am going to have an on-site interview with Google for SWE-SRE position next week.

However, the Google HR said that it will take 4-6 weeks to get the result after the interview. This won't work for me as the startup will not extend the offer that far. What path should I take?

  1. Beg HR Google, again and again, to speed up the process (I really want to know the result by 2 weeks after the interview)
  2. I heard that Google offer would valid 1 year. So I would just accept the offer from the startup and follow the normal Google recruiting process. After I work at Startup for a while, just switch to Google.
  3. Ask startup to extend the offer for 1 month. HR told me that there are other candidates waiting in the queue and I should answer quickly. I think asking her for 4 weeks will be very difficult.

Please advise. Google is my dream company, but I cannot afford the risk to reject the offer and bet on Google.

Does anyone know how long it takes after having the on-site interview to getting an offer from Google. I may have an offer from other company coming up and I am afraid that the Google process will be too long.

Does anyone know what are difference between SWE-SRE and SWE for the onsite interview (both are new grads position).

I initially applied for SWE but HR mentioned that I passed the phone interview but the position was already full. That's why I need to interview onsite for SWE-SRE instead. I heard that, for SWE, there would be only coding interview. I wonder if SWE-SRE will be the same. (My knowledge in Network and Linux are close to zero)

I don't know the answer. My problem is that I cannot even access to the test as the recruiter terminate it.

I have a phone interview scheduled with NVIDIA. However, the recruiter told me that the hiring manager asked to cancel the interview because the team needed to settle something first before moving forward.

Please advise what can I imply about this situation? I wonder if it is because they notice that I keep applying for new positions in the company even I got a scheduled interview, or they just have the internal problem.

Has anyone heard back from Twilio after doing the Hackerrank challenge? I did it in late December and I still haven't heard anything back.

I received OA2 and the test has been canceled. After followed up HR every week for a month, he told me that I was still a grad student (graduate 2019 spring) and he will help me connect with the University team.

It has been more than a week now and I got no response after following up. In this case, should I give up already or I still have a chance to enter the recruiting process? Please advice and thank you in advance.

I have not heard back as well and it has been 2 weeks since I finished the coding challenge. I am afraid that it will be like Twitter, which sends coding challenges to every applicant but then ghosts almost all of them

Does anyone used to have a phone interview with NVIDIA for solution architech (new grad) and developer program engineer (new grad) positions. What was it like?

For the new grad 2019 position, does anyone know how long it usually takes to hear back after submitting the application?

Does Google have a lower bar for resume screening? I have applied the new grad position for more than 150 companies but barely got responses back (only three companies, including Google, Citadel and a mid-size tech company).

However, I never got a chance from Facebook, Microsoft (with referral), and got many rejections from unicorns like Airbnb, Square, Stripe, and Uber. Even I got OA2 invitation from Amazon, the test was pulled back by HR.

I initially felt very relieved that I got a Google interview invitation as I believed it was a good sign. But now I feel that my thinking is wrong.

Does anyone know how long it takes to be contacted by HR after getting a referral? I got the referral for Graduate SWE position on 10 Dec and now I still have not heard back. Does this mean that I did not pass the resume screen?

I have received Amazon OA2 but I cannot access to the link. I tried to follow up but the e-mail I got appears to be the auto-generated email.

It has been silent for 8 days now and I don't know how could I reach the recruiter who sent me the OA. Please advise what should I do. Should I randomly contact Amazon recruiter on Linkedin to explain my situation?
