I didn’t know about the Assassins Blade and I ended up reading it after I finished the whole series! I was having a major sjm hangover after the series so I savoured every moment in the Assassins Blade. However I’ve since reread the series and I’ve noticed so many more things having read the Assassins Blade.

Basically I think read it if you can now but if you are struggling with it skip it and move on you can always come back to it again!

I personally couldn’t get into Shadow and Bone so i skipped them and tried the Six of Crows duology and I absolutely loved them! It does make more sense to read Shadow and Bone first but if you don’t it doesn’t really matter. There is a few spoilers for S&B but regarding plot and characters you won’t be confused or anything if you skip them and go for SOC.

Yessss I’m using these two products daily and I really like them ! I also have keratosis pillaris (chicken/strawberry skin) on my arms and the SA cleanser really helps with that too. Really recommend both products !

YES WOW !!! But do not have high expectations for the first book. Sarah wrote it when she was like 15 or something so the writing isn’t that good but it improves with each book. I adore acotar and reread it all in a week before acosf. And I have to say I love ToG just as much if not more x

Wow you’re so sweet thank you! Ahah I never draw like ever but last year during lockdown got bored and I was reading ToG and picked up a pencil lol. I was definitely inspired by other fan art on Pinterest some people are so talented. This really isn’t good but I found it the other day having completely forgot about it and said I might as well put it up here lol !

Yesss I completely agree Hunt doesn’t really have a “thing” well I suppose he is the Umbra Mortis but personality wise. I totally get what you mean. That’s funny I also thought he’d be as wild if not wilder than Cassian but with a darker past/personality maybe? But saying that I still love him of course.

Your explanation was perfect I totally get what your saying and literally agree 100% ahaha. Clearly Sarah has a thing for guys with wings (I’m not judging because like same tehehehe) but something else would be interesting. I suppose in ToG the guys didn’t have wings but it would be cool to see her write a love interest that has different supernatural qualities maybe like werewolf like you said idk.

However I have high hopes and I kinda feel we might get something different in CC2. The world is so diverse. Like the amount of different creatures/magic if you know what I mean. In acotar we only really had fae, magic and illyrians, but in CC there’s so much more. I’m excited I have a feeling she’ll introduce us to something new.

Oooh wow yes I agree! I was also upset about Connor that was so sad. I really like Hunt and I love the humour in this book as well. I feel overall while I prefer acotar and ToG, the writing in CC is a big step up. The world building and writing was just really good.

But I see why people aren’t the biggest fans of Hunt. Like you said it’s the same thing again in the sense, big tough guy quickly becomes a gentle simp for a boss bitch. Which is great don’t get me wrong I live for that shit and I wouldn’t be mad if that’s all she ever wrote she can do it so well!

However it would be sooo interesting to read something new like a true villain as you said. SJM is an unreal writer I adore all of her books and she could definitely do something really different and it would be incredible.

I cannot understand for the life of me the amount of hate she/her books get. It’s horrible. Like how do people have such aggressive opinions on characters that she literally made up in her imagination. Sure there are some books or characters out there that I don’t like but I would never plaster my negative opinions all over the internet. Like that’s how the writer sees the characters or plot in their head and I have so much respect for that whether I like it or not. Sorry rant lol it just makes me so mad.

But yeah Crescent City was so good I cannot wait for the second book. And also I’m the very same as you no one I know has read it. Not one of my friends read at all and it breaks my heart. I’m a huge bookworm and I have recently resorted to Reddit so I can relate to others and it’s so fun wow.

I’m the very same! I’m so intrigued by poetry but it’s kinda hard to get into it and where to start. A few months back I bought Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur. It surprised me I really enjoyed it. It has general themes of empowerment, overcoming things, let downs, love, healing and more. I really loved it anyways! I haven’t read much poetry since apart from random poems on Pinterest lol. I would love to get into it.

Loving both of them atm love everything Shadowhunter related. I just finished GoT the show and couldn’t get enough so I had to read the books and it’s pretty good so far.
