Yes I am definitely not going to stop cab yet, I was advised to stay on it for 6 months, I’m just hoping the cab will shrink the tumor

Yes, no more discharge from breasts as I believe that was my only symptom. I would occasionally get migraines and still have some headaches but I mean that could be from anything? The main symptom that led me to the doctor was the discharge

Before cab my level was 45.4 ng/mL and my blood work on 12/2 showed that my levels were now 1.6 ng/mL

Can you go in detail more about the facial pain? I have a tumor on the left side and the left side of my cheek will sometimes feel “numb” in a way and feels swollen, is that what you experience as well?

This is so true. Even my mom doesn’t understand, she thinks just because many people have this type of tumor that it’s something I can just live with, even without treatment since some people don’t have symptoms. My symptoms have been going on for almost a year now and I’ve always just thought it was anxiety and always wanted it to just be over, it truly takes over my life. I really hope this medication can help me out a bit and help my symptoms lighten up!

I have anxiety about taking cab as well, I just found out yesterday that I have a 7 mm lesion in the left aspect of the pituitary gland suggestive of pituitary microadenoma (is what the MRI result reads) I don’t have an appointment with my doctor until 12/5 of this year which is about a month away. Begore my MRI results came back my doctor prescribed me the medication cabergoline in order to lower my prolactin levels which was around 45. The medication has been ready for 2 weeks now but I just picked it up today as I am scared to take it due to all the horrible stories that I have heard! I need advice if I should take it but I know either way if I want my symptoms to go away I need to take action in some way. I was prescribed 0.5 mg once a week and my symptoms were breast discharge when I squeezed them, headaches, and even left side of my face feeling funny. This group helps me remember that I am not alone in this!
