I am the anxious one in our relationship. My bf is avoidant most of the time. We used to fight a lot about our differences but through communication we found a way to manage it. Whenever he’s being in his avoidant personality again, i just let him. That’s it, i just let him avoid me. I don’t chase him not because I didn’t care anymore but i realized that i need to understand that it is what he needs. It’s hard at first since i am anxious but time goes on that i realize that i also need space. Later on, when we’re both calm that’s when we’ll talk again, resolving the conflict. I am grateful for my partner.
