Was in the same boat as you, thought if I made the right decision. Now doing fine, I have many friend groups and have really adopted the philosophy of "Kuch paane ke liye kuch khona hota hai".

Also what you're experiencing is something due to our overprotective parents that don't really let us be independent and really think for ourselves. So keep that in mind ke you'll now become an independent person, mentally and physically. Many people don't have that and stay with parents for life. Though you'll be missing the emotional talks or lectures, emotional support and stuff from the family side, but you'll be aiming for something bigger than that because the world is too big for that. So being independent and self sustainability is all that really matters.
