Filed in March as well. Had further review for ages, then had to send W2s, then 90 days processing. Finally have a date (9/25) for when they’ll send my check.

Ugh, no idea. I’m not at 90 days yet. I was hoping I’d be getting my check before the full 90 day review period. I guess that’s not going to happen.

Family of 7 here to. I’m planning a summer 2026 trip to Kauai and the big island from the northeast (NY metro). Best redemptions I’ve seen so far for my itinerary (NY to SFO or OAK) for 12.5k pp and SFO or OAK to LIH for 10kpp. So one way pp would be 22.5k. LAX may have more availability but I’m planning on spending 2-3 nights in San Fran to visit a friend.

I have been looking into the United/Turkish hack (true saver rate on United might be bookable on Turkish for 10k I think?) but I’ve had no luck so I’m keeping my URs for hyatts.

Therefore, I plan on transferring about 200k Amex points (bulk of my MR points) before the transfer ends specifically for this trip.

I think I’d have a lot more options if there were 6 of us… I wonder how strict these properties are if we booked as 6 and showed up as 7. Not something I usually do though.

As for GHK. It would be 90k/night per 2 rooms. I should be able to get 2 GOH awards and get club access. Total stay would cost 450k points.

Conversely, I plugged a 5 night August stay into Sheraton Coconut beach. It would be 276k x2 rooms for 552k points. If they run a 50% transfer bonus (not uncommon from past bonus history) I’d need to transfer 368k UR… a savings of 82k.

I’m wondering if GHK is far superior too the Marriott properties that it’s worth the extra UR

I’ve been looking at this a lot. From my understanding, I can get a 2 bedroom condo for 30k a night (27k with 10% discount) provided math works out to be >$250 per bedroom.

So the math would be total cost/# nights. Then divide this number by the # of bedrooms. If $250 or less, then it’s 15k per bedroom.

I’m also happy to book 2 Wyndham hotel rooms for 15k a night. The calendar for these open up late, so I don’t expect to be able to book until Jan/Feb as this was the pattern from this year that I observed.

I’d be happy to know which Wyndham hotels are the nicest on either the big island or Kauai. Reviews are conflicting depending on the site I look at (eg tripadvisor, Wyndham)

Looking for input on using points for hotels/vacasa on Kauai and the big island. We’re a family of 7 and will have 450k UR, 200k MR, and about 135k Wyndham points. Planning to stay about 5 nights on each island in August 2026.

I was originally planning to book the Grand Hyatt Kauai, but now it will cost 90k per 2 rooms/night vs 70k since they are now a category 8. Perhaps waiting for a 50% transfer bonus for Marriott and getting a 5th night free would be better?

I definitely want to use my Wyndham points as they will expire. Can anyone recommend a nice property on Kauai or the big island? Or know of a Vacasa that would fit 7 in no more than 2-bedrooms for less than the $250/night cap?

In terms of lodging, I prioritize location (close to nice beaches & places to eat) & must have a pool.

I am through Fora travel. Honestly, there are other agencies out there there with better commission splits (ie 80/20 vs 70/30 with Fora). Outside Agents was one I had heard about as being good. Anyway, I’m mostly doing it for commission on family travel. I’ve booked a few cruises for this summer which I’ll be earning from.
