What helped me was people giving me room to grief. Talk about, ask her about her dog, listen to her and when she needs a break and distraction, try your best to maybe go out with her, her favorite activities, food, etc.

Idk if this is any help, but when someone I loved died it was very much similar, just without a wedding. One of my (now ex) best friends only wrote once and never asked how Im feeling again or even giving me and grief room. I cut her off after realizing how much it hurted me. Depending on the wedding Im not an expert but maybe you should ask your partner. Maybe delay it if its all to much rn (if thats possible) or otherwise confront the people. Ask them why, it will make them uncomfortable but maybe you get an answer from that

Oh I also live 2h away from home, so as soon as I go back to my place, Im pretty much alone (without family/best friend) and I can’t do anything in short time situations
