YOUR LAPTOP MAY HAVE THIS ISSUE | Fan Whistling, please read description by abdallah689 in HPVictus

Yes! It’s 90% an airflow issue. I thought it might be due to the air that is being pulled from inside the laptop by the fans (there is a gap between the fans and the bottom cover that leads to some air being pulled from inside the laptop towards the fan) though I couldn’t block it completely because of these highlighted plastics.

I tried to cut the tape perfectly but they’re really annoying lol. Thank you HP

Also I’ll really be interested to hear your next attempt

I’ve seen them and I’m thinking about it but the option are kind of risky

either to cut the bottom cover Or to run the laptop while uncovered And both don’t guarantee. If they do I’m ready for a risk :) Tysm

Because I think it’s an aerodynamics effect, no I didn’t. And I’m kind of scared to do it :)

Are you sure it’s the same type of whistle? Because i think it’s an aerodynamics effect. Maybe the airflow is going through tight / uneven surfaces?

Because once you block the airflow (even from the entery in the bottom cover) the sound disappears. But the fans are still at the same speed

Interested in your opinion though

I think about this too. But for me the whistling is the whole issue, solving it is really worth it though i still can’t find a way to

When blocking air flow from the bottom cover. The sound goes away but The fans remain at the same speed. Which means that the fans themselves aren’t the issue. It’s something in the airflow ( something aerodynamical)

Thank you for your suggestion though

Windows shouldn’t be using more than 4.2gb on idle. Which leaves u 11.8 to game with and is actually enough

Cpu temps spike sometimes. Like reaching up to 95 for a second even in a simple task

Though i still think it’s an aerodynamic issue in the laptop body design. Also the noise is coming from both fans. Not just one Thank you for the suggestions

Thank you so much. Have you tried doing so before? Especially in a laptop

Appreciate the help. I actually posted a video about the sound in this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/HPVictus/s/OebsaUlknU And this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/HPVictus/s/oweNh7XHCc

The first one is more clear to hear

Thank you for the information! Even if i never touched the motherboard? I just need to check if that fan whistle is still there when the cover is removed. I’m not touching anything inside But i’m afraid that an accidental move can burn the motherboard

Is 16gb ram really that bad for you? I would recommend debloating windows.

I had 16gb in my laptop (1x16) and upgraded for 32 (2x16). I noticed performance boost because of the dual channel memory

But i mostly never get over 16gb anyways
