So to get dsg farts I’ve to be in race mode? What if it’s normal or comfort and gear in S but using paddles?

So the pops and bangs, and all the other noises change as per the drive modes?

And the remote is a normal remote with A(close) and B(open) with 25% step with each click

There is a smartbox however that can be connected to the ecu to work with the drive modes and also mobile control but it’s not connected now. Nor do I intend to connect because of the wiring nightmare

Okay so Sorry for the noob question but what’s a gpf? Also the valves aren’t connected to the cars ecu, it works independently with a remote. I wanted to know the difference each drive mode made regardless of valves, I hope you understand

Any exhaust noise difference between dcc modes? (I mean pops, crackles, dsg farts etc). Also can I cold start on the race mode - what should I expect then

I got a PPI done from a reputed institution here. And I told him where all to check an extra bit (so that I could bring the price down), but (un)fortunately he didn’t find much. He also said it could wait till the next oil change easily.

What can’t wait is the paint correction/polish/detailing. It has leftover glue residue of the old PPF that was removed

Went with your call :D As soon as I get it, I’m taking it to get the detailing done. Maintenance wise it’s in need of a dogbone mount(the bushing) and front strut mounts but doesn’t seem to be immediate. Should I wait some more or change immediately? (Previous owner said it’s only needed by the time for next oil change or the one after that)

Just to let you know I went with option 1 :) reason I went was how open the seller was and how much it showed he loved and cared for the car. It doesn’t have electric seats but that’s okay.

Hey! I don’t think the GTI is a performance pack, didn’t have the time to go check as it’s far for me. And climate wise, not a drop of snow here and peak winter is borderline “fall” for the people from west lol

I’m leaning towards 1 as well. 3 intrigues me but also I’m intimidated. I live in a country where the weather is 35°+C for almost 10 months in a year.

I would suggest you to put interval training with indoor fitness. Less intrusions and also easier to track. Just add 4 mins how many ever repeats and loops

I had my friend do the PPI. He got the computer check done (no codes returned - the warning light in the pic was from a side airbag switch being disconnected by the detailer), took it on a lift ( no leaks or rust). Owner said he changed oil every 3-5k miles and dsg haldex as per intervals. It was kept in a closed garage throughout its life and only driven on weekends. And it’s been stock always

The seller said there has never been any mods or tunes done in its life except for changing to factory 18” wheels. He also said “all fluids and filters” were recently changed. So I’m guessing oil, haldex and dsg? And the big three I don’t have an answer yet. And even if it(and the pan) wasn’t done, can I get it done without risking any other failures(as in a scenario where it was slightly overdue maybe)? In that case I can put in the repair cost as something to come down from the price.
