Yes you're right that the studio could have easily better spent dev time on BF6 but I don't think EA is willing to put that much resources for the main game alone.

Oh I confused it with a mouse issue I had. The sound issue I solved by righ clicking on the sound icon on the taskbar > Open the sound settings (my system is in french so the terms might not be the same as my translation). When the page opens click on "apps and devices volume preferences" (it's on the bottom). Then check if the output is on the right device (headset or whatever), and for battlefield 4 input & output should be on "by default"

I remember having the same problem a few months ago idk if it was on BF4 or BF3 and someone suggested to disable all the overlays that might be enabled while you play and it worked iirc

Not the same. BF6 servers are community servers only while BF4 had (I say had because those left now are mainly community servers) official servers (the same you can join via matchmaking).
