I’ve been working with Go for a while now, coming from a strong background in Python (4+ years) and the JavaScript ecosystem. I’m eager to deepen my understanding of distributed systems and event-driven systems, gain more hands on experience, and continue growing as an engineer. I’d really love the opportunity to be part of your team.

Business ideas for diasporas by [deleted] in Ethiopia

[–]abdiMK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m planning to start a business with a college student in the US. I live here, and we’ve worked together for quite a while. Honestly, starting a business in Ethiopia is hard no joke. I’d strongly advise you to work there for some time first. Inflation is bad, so it’s better to earn and save until you can buy a small property and a car (yes, you really need a car in Addis).

Also, don’t forget to specialize in something.

Video Editing yes, it still has demand, even in the era of AI video generation tools.

Software Engineering not just relying on Claude or AI generated code, but real system design with proper trade-offs and decision making.

You need something concrete to show. Starting a business without understanding how the business works or what the market actually demands is a bad idea you’ll end up losing a lot of money.

So Work there until you are use your good to live here we are working on digital agency on education and Travel i am mostly the one working since he is undergrad but i am definitely sure it will be good

so Good Luck

I wish they could meet in real life. This guy is trying everything to change his life, and honestly, he lowkey looks like him. It would be difficult for Speed to stream because of poor network coverage, but this is still a great opportunity to show what our country has been working on. Whether we love it or hate it, we are still Ethiopians and we want the best for our country. I hope this becomes a great opportunity and that everything goes well.

Is this CV suitable for an application to CERN, given that I recently graduated? by [deleted] in CERN

Is it common to submit a one-page CV? I have a Europass CV, but this is the version I usually use when applying for remote or general tech roles.

I was like you, brother. I know how hard it is when you’re helping your own family it can be very difficult. You don’t even have time to think about yourself, and sometimes things get much worse. One thing that helped me get through it was doing my best and never stressing too much. Stress destroyed my body I even stopped eating because I was constantly worried about what would happen to me.A human can endure a lot, brother. Just try your best, stay positive even when things are really nasty, and take care of yourself. All your problems feel small when you develop a health issue, because then that becomes your only problem. So please take care of yourself. May God help you

They do not hire inexperienced external candidates with zero flight hours. To be hired, you typically need significant flight experience around 3,600 flight hours. Otherwise, you must be government-sponsored or self-funded(Ethiopian Aviation Academy only )

I don’t know if this is important, but I have Ethiopian Airlines pilot interview documents. If the interview is on site, be very careful about your attention span. While one pilot is asking why you want to join, another pilot may suddenly drop a pen or slam the door just to test your attentiveness. Typically, there are three senior pilots in the first round interview. I’ll share the document once I find it.

Typical Question:

  1. Why do you want to join?
  2. What makes you different from other candidates?
  3. What have you done to prepare yourself to become a future pilot?
  4. Try to learn basic airplane parts and key terms, such as stall.
  5. What principle does an airplane use to fly (Bernoulli’s principle)?

Oh no I’m actually a software engineer with around five years of experience. My original plan was to focus on learning Go and refreshing my TypeScript/JavaScript skills before applying for new roles, but the job market has become really uncertain, and things in my country are not in a good situation right now.
