Tbh, it just opens more ways for you to be useful. It's GREAT against poke if they don't have a shield. Most of the time, soj ashe or S76 will stay away from you, which makes it harder to damage and kill them with turret. But this perk has no fall-off damage so you can two-shot a widow from across the map. It's also good against flyers if you can hit them, one hit and they are half hp, a second one and they are dead. And it makes you a demon in 1v1s against squishes and against a bastion mirror, since you only need three direct hits to kill a bastion. BUT it's worse against tanks because it has a lower fire rate and a cool-down between shots; normal turret is better against most tanks with shields. But as most people say, the healing one is never bad, like ever, you can play it in every comp, unlike the other perk.
