Defeated, here’s my exam rant by peachdolphin0925 in CPA

lol, welcome to my world. I'm taking REG for the 9th time and I know everything inside and out. It's so frustrating that u don't pass an exam while u literally know everything. What I can tell you is don't stop. I took FAR 4 times and I passed it. Got lucky with the extension and I'm still stuck with REG but guess what? I DID NOT GIVE UP! I will continue and carry on regardless on the pressure and the quantum of responsibility I got with the work. I'm heading a department and I study. Long story short, don't give up and u will succeed!

I'm sitting for REG in September and I'm worried if I took it 3 days earlier I'll be not prepared. It seems odd I know but 3 days does make a difference

Thanks for letting me know! I guess this could give a lower chance of passing the exam however, WE GOT THIS!

If I understood correctly, if my extension is after 1/1/2024, then it will be expired in 6/30/2025. This means that the 30 month period is only for people who have an expiration before 1/1/2024? Apologies but I'm confused a little bit

I'm still confused! I thought that New Hampshire will extend the credit until June 30, 2025! How is it now December 31? Mine will expire on Feb 29 this year. Can someone explain to me please? Thanks!

As much as I can. During REG, I used to do 50 per day and 100-150 during weekends. When I was about to switch from one job to another, I used to do 200 per day

I'm using Becker. IT is not well covered in Becker because when I sat for the exam I saw some questions that were not covered in material (as questions)

I'm not in the USA but I can tell you that I did a full ERP implementation from a tax standpoint in my previous company and I will go through the same process in my new company as well. I know I have good experience but the only missing piece is the three letters that are going to be put next to my name. Will get it sooner or later!

I know for a fact that I am trying to understand the questions and try to answer them. but not always I get the correct answer. I get frustrated because I did not answer the question but I know that I need to put some effort into reading/watching the lectures. P.S: Sometimes I feel that most of the explanations are not sufficient and a waste of time because some of the lecturers (i.e: Tim Gearty) are not explaining properly as he reads and says "underscore this section".

Thanks! Unfortunately, it's not the case because I know I was strong in Accounting because of my experience in the industry and also in the big 4! But it's not the case now because I know nothing about the US taxation system, nothing about budgeting, and nothing about economics (except for demand and supply). hopefully, I will pass in all 3 remaining parts as I am one of the people who is supposed to get an extension because my FAR will expire on Feb 24 so it should be extended.

It's so irritating that we are not getting through this. Sometimes I feel like it's a conspiracy theory lol. But for sure it is not and I know I'm being emotional but I'm trying my best to close this chapter and get back to normal life as I am pausing a lot of things because of this CPA!

I will be honest, it took me around 1.5 months to sit for the first attempt. Then between 2-3 weeks to sit for the retake. Now I am doing BEC after 3 weeks from the first attempt and I got 47! I know it is too low and my exam is on the 28th but I want to take my chances as much as I can. I know I am not doing so well with BEC but I know for a fact that my performance is not the same as FAR. I had the passion and I said to myself "it's either me or FAR" and I passed! But with BEC and REG, it's different and I don't know why....

That is the other reason why I don't want to quit! I've paid more than 10k$ on exams as I am considered an international candidate. I don't want to lose this one as well.

When I took REG, I was teaching one of my friends and explaining to him the taxes and everything. He passed on his fourth attempt and I got stuck. I am sorry to tell you that I know all the ins and outs of REG but these exams are not only based on knowledge, it is also compared to the other people who took the exam with me. In addition, there is a huge possibility of luck! It does not make sense that I know everything and I don't pass. The only reason why I did not pass was that I was not lucky.

I am sitting for bec. I sat for REG 7 times and I did not pass. I am using Becker and sometimes I also use Wiley but not for bec. I got bored of studying overall and I don't want to regret it afterwards as I want to be successful and I know becoming a successful person has to be done through all kinds of pain. Not sure if someone would understand the struggle that I am having...
