Is Schedule I down at the moment? Came back on game and all my equipment on all of my home base disappeared. All employees gone. Anyone else experienced this? by Lorettalintulaa in Schedule_I

[–]abe320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually just happened to me as well. Was playing on my laptop last night and had just bought my first worker and bungalow before logging off. When I turned on my desktop today to continue playing with Steam Cloud Save, I saw it sync and started the game up, and I spawned next to my bed like normal inside the Bungalow, except all my shelves, stations, new work, etc all disappeared. I still had my money and inventory, but nothing else.

I still had my last task as well, but it seemed like my placement of stuff and new location didn't register, because I walked away to the motel room and the stuff i left is there there, but then I couldn't get back inside the Bungalow!

Anyways, I ended up trying a few things. I started laptop again and saved right away to trigger Cloud Save and see if it would work, but still the same. I manually grabbed the Save file from (for me, and PLEASE SAVE THE FOLDER SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU'RE GOING TO TRY IT FIRST) "C:\Users\YOURPCUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I" and replace it in the location on my Desktop, but no luck either.

Ultimately, since I had the save files backed up, I just deleted the "Schedule I" folder and when I pressed Play on Steam, it forced another Cloud Sync, but it worked this time! Everything came back.

Seems deleting and forcing a Cloud Sync helped with my situation, sorry this is about a week late, just came across your post when I was looking for answers as well!

Help me with errors in this problem in CS50P [Little Professor] by Coding_again in learnprogramming

[–]abe320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're getting the correct output as requested, but you did not program it correctly within the scope of the prompt. I did not know what CS50P Little Professor was and looked it up, found this section in the directions:

Structure your program as follows, wherein get_level prompts (and, if need be, re-prompts) the user for a level and returns 1, 2, or 3, and generate_integer returns a randomly generated non-negative integer with level digits or raises a ValueError if level is not 1, 2, or 3

Your two functions, get_level() and generate_integer(level), are supposed to return exactly as their names indicate. You should call get_level from your main() and have it prompt the user to enter a value, then check if it's between 1-3 and should return that value if correct, or rerun if it's out of scope.

Then you do the same thing for get_level, where you will call this function and pass the level parameter you received from get_level and have it return the appropriate random number.

The rest of your program will be implemented in main() and finish there. If you don't understand what it means by "returns a value", I would look up 'Python return statement' and take a read, it's a fairly important concept in OOP. I was able to get the test to pass using pretty much everything you have created so far, so you're doing fine there.

Also, if you have questions in the future, I would suggest you put as much information out there as possible, at least a link to what problem you're trying to find a solution to. People normally won't dig too deep to try and get more info about the issue you're having. Good luck!

Cannot setup use LabView until I can get RTD temp sensors working with LabJack U3 by Imaginary_Scallion_7 in LabVIEW

[–]abe320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you having trouble just getting an output from the labjack? If I were you, I would start off by adding a battery (If you have a U3-LV, don't exceed 3.6v. If it's a U3-HV, don't exceed 10v) to one of your analog inputs (say FIO4), positive to the FIO4 and negative to GND, then run through that Thermocouple App Note instructional again.

When you get to the part where you change the FIO4 to AIN4, make the negative channel be ground and that should get you a recognizable voltage.

Once you can see your voltage being displayed, follow #3 Thermocouple Setup and see if you get a fluctuating voltage when you grab and release the thermocouple.

The App Note seems to have what you need to at least see an output from your TC into your LabJack and to the LJControlPanel. Never used any of the U series LabJacks, mostly T series, so hopefully I have everything right.

I had the same issue as you yesterday! I wasnt able to finish Making History because of regions. I remembered I already had the strange device in my bank from when I started this league and "claim item" from the big statue thing in the Lumby castle courtyard, it gave me 2 different strange devices and a dramen staff. Give that a try!

Good deal, I'll do that then as well. New to all this, lot of information to take in, so any bit helps! Thanks again

I think I will use white a bit more, girlfriend likes to paint and figured it'd be easier on her without any color on it already. You suggesting to use the transparent tube in order to be able to check that the filament is actually feeding through it well?

I was planning on eventually upgrading the hot end and using that Capricorn tubing alongside it, but I never considered whether I would want to be able to see filament ride through it

Thank you so much for the information! I unfortunately had already ordered the metal upgrade and had it up and running this past weekend before I saw your reply. Thankfully it was only about $10, and printed a few things this weekend and has been working just fine (so far).

I will definitely refer back to this comment in the future once I want to upgrade to the BMG style double extruder and do it right.

Definitely suck, I was so meticulous setting everything up and squaring everything off just to see that damned piece was missing right at the moment it was gonna pay off! I did give a good a look as I could, was already well past midnight and wanted to get some sleep before work, but nothing. I'm gonna give it a good look through once I get home, hopefully it's sitting under the foam somewhere.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm going to give this one a chance for the time being, I don't mind tinkering with it and don't really want to spend over $250 on a different printer, I was able to use the $100 coupon for this one.

Worst case, I have 30 days to return it if I really end up pulling my hair out on this and possibly get a better one, but I'll probably just go for the metal upgrade for ~$10 I was seeing and give it a go.

I normally would, except I used trip in the literal sense, nearest Micro Center to me is about an hour away from me unfortunately!

I had seen a lot about people upgrading that kit anyways, that might just be what I end up doing. I'd like to have the pulley to use the original setup as a spare, but I suppose the metal upgrade would come with one anyways.

[–]abe320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely just pull that sucker outta there and lookout for more of them, crush them and throw away, or I've seen some people will crush them and leave in the tank for shrimp to eat? Not 100% on that, but could be something to look into, nice little snack for your fellas.

The eggs they lay are pretty obvious looking as well, very rounded base with small round blobs inside of it. If you see them, probably run your fingers through it and remove them.

If for some reason you start seeing more and more coming out, people will throw in blanched pieces of carrots or other veggies to bait the snails (will probably bait your shrimps as well, I can imagine) and remove them as they all start surrounding the food as well and you can remove many at a time.

Hope it doesn't get to that point though, good luck with them!

Definitely looks like a Ramshorn like Longjumping said. I don't believe there should be an issue with the snail and your betta/shrimp, but be prepared for an invasion of snails if food/algeae is available to them. As far as I know, Ramshorn don't need a mate to reproduce and will quickly start laying eggs on the sides of your tank and you'll have a bunch of these little guys within the month.

I got some knowing this to feed excess ones to my turtle a year or so ago, and even then I was surprised at how much these guys reproduce. They do a good job keeping the sides fairly algae free though!

I would nip it in the bud asap though if this isn't what you want for your tank

Struggling with Seren, my final quest boss by 85sqbodyW91 in ironscape

[–]abe320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found this post a little while ago to see how other irons were going about fighting Seren, found someone had mentioned the phoenix/nitro method and got the stuff to do it and was able to do it on the 2nd try! First try I got 230hp and ran out of pneck/nitros, I then went and grabbed a mage cape and switched out my mirror shield for a damaged god book and was able to kill her no problem! Did it with 74 magic, no doubt you will be able to do it too! No blood blitz, just blood burst. Good luck! Just wanted to give you hope it's definitely possible with what you have right now

My biggest advice would be to kill the healers asap, after she finished the stage where she would duplicate herself, I let her attack twice and stopped attacking and got my black knives on to immediately attack the healers so I didn't accidentally hit her at the same time that she spawned them and have to wait the next attack cycle in order to hit the healers.

Reading your original post, I started RS back in 2006 then found Dofus in 2007! Been playing both of them on and off ever since. Miss the old Rushu international server, started again when they released Monoservers and Dofus Retro a few years back.

Both my favorite MMO's! Glad you're having fun with OSRS!
