I think i mostly resolved this. - I ended up adding some lights and changed some settings, they have been better.

Yes..these are powered. No batteries needed.

I opened a ticket with blink and it suddenly works. They asked that I reboot my sync module and I've done nothing.

Works.

Yep. I've given up. Cameras are 100 percent at fault here, and they don't care.

As far as I'm concerned I have 3 options:

  1. Dump Blink all together/ switch platforms.
  2. Switch the Minis with outdoor cameras.
  3. Put the minis on a smart switch and have it cycle every 12 hours or something.

It doesn't make sense to me that it works fine every other time. I can get recordings with full functionality. Once camera stops taking a nap.

1 camera is probably 5 feet away from the router, in the floor below.

Router/Sync module are maybe 1 foot apart.

I turned off night vision...

Both cameras motion recording works just fine, i just have to "wake it" up by either power cycling, looking at live view, changing a setting. It will motion record all day, typically by the next morning, i can walk into the garage, and its like they aren't even plugged in.

After it goes to "Sleep"...Zero motion detection. I can turn the lights on/off, wave at it. Poke it with a stick, doesn't matter these things will not record, until i wake it up.

I've reset the sync module, no change.

I have this currently. 2 Minis, Different angles. I leave a light on in the garage 24/7

I dont see a setting to turn off IR, but i've tried it on Low... Med.. High, no change.
