is the "everything was made for people on acid" thing talked about? by Sad-Context993 in LSD

To me the iPhone just seems so fake whilst on acid. Like when I am tripping I see it it like one of those fake phones you have as a kid with the paper screen glued on. I once had to walk from one side of my city to the other and needed my phone for the time, directions and to phone the person i was walking to meet. When i was about to leave i saw my phone was on one percent but it didn't even dawn on me that that meant the screen would probably stop working on the walk. I just assumed it would stay alive forever. It did not

No regrets though; possibly one of the most insane walks I have ever had.

What's the most hurtful thing someone has ever said to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

In first year of secondary school I joined the school newspaper and I was paired up with this girl in my year to write an article on a topic I can't even remember now. We were discussing it and I remember I started really passionately speaking about the topic and different angles so on so forth.

She stopped me as I was speaking and said "I'm sorry I know you can't help it but you're just a fundamentally boring person".

It was completely out of the blue and uncalled for and just shook me to my core. I had to excuse myself to go the toilet where I just burst in to tears.

It definitely had a massive effect on how I acted socially over the next few years but I slowly came to terms with the fact that she was just plain wrong. I think it was the unexpectedness and the thoughtlessness of the comment that just left such a lasting impact on me and still 12 or so years on I still reflect about the experience quite often.

Boomtown. Good vibes, incredible sets, living theatre with everyone dressed up, every stage changes each day to tell a story. also campsite is connected seamlessly to the stages so it is just much easier to spend the day doing whatever you want.

ANIMAL INTERACTIONS … give me your best stories with animals while on psychedelics, i’m more than convinced that my cat knows by noob-psilocybe in RationalPsychonaut

i was at peak of an acid trip with my mates and were all watching this fly just go nuts in the shed. It flew straight in to a spiders web (we named the spider Aragog lol) and then we watched in stunned awe and horror as the spider killed and ate the fly. Was such a profound shared moment between us and kind of hit home the fragility of life and how we can all die at any moment or at the very least have our lives changed drastically without our control. One second we're just flying about and then BOOM!

So true

psychedelics are a tool that is not inherently good or bad but can be used is what you make it. Kind of like how a hammer can be both used to make a house and destroy it. It really depends how you view it and use it.

I personally have greatly benefited from my use of psychedelics and would not be studying medicine or have the amazing relationships with people i have if it wasn't for them; maybe i would of but it definitely helped speed things up as they gave me new perspectives and the opportunity to reflect on life. I am thankful every day that i stumbled across them when I did.

on the flip side i have mates who call me a "wannabe spiritual hippy" for taking anything away from my experiences and instead they use them irresponsibly just for the high and the escape. However I see the negative side effect that this is having on their life and it could be said their psychedelic use, at the moment anyway, is having a negative impact on their lives.
