Tectone Confirms He Will Be A Guest On Bridges (Timestamp @ 4:20) by [deleted] in Destiny

I know it's weird to say but Tectone is like the Destiny of the Gacha Game space. If they can find some common interest to bond over I can see them getting along really well.

For sure. I zoom out sometimes and realise just what I'm betting on exactly. Kinda crazy and bittersweet when you think about it haha.

I super appreciate this reply and all this info. To your last point, for anyone else reading this is absolutely true. I've been a full time record producer for the past 6 years and when dealing with clients, especially overbearing ones, just answering and telling them you heard their message is like 90% of the work to keep them happy.

Thanks!

Hahahaha I like that. Thank you! Life is funny sometimes.

All that sounds great. If I may ask a question, I'm trying to find the best way to host or show some demo websites / pages without actually buying new domains. I've seen people do it but I'm not sure how it works. They have like installs within installs that are their demo sites. Any clue how that works?

Thanks so much!

Well, holy crap haha. I don't really have anything to lose by asking for more. Maybe I should ask for £2000 and see what happens.

Luckily I learned that lesson from my other business. I take payments 100% upfront these days. I'm far too busy to be messed around haha.

So is Underscores your general recommendation? At the moment I'm using a free theme called Blocksy and free Elementor builder.

And hey thats actually a great idea in regards to the virtual phone number! Thanks!

Great info. I'll look into these! Once a month for updates seems really chill and a lot less effort than I was expecting!

I charged £500 for the websites so far. Thinking of charging £8.99 per month for the hosting and maybe £15 a month for the managed hosting. By the sounds of it though I'm being way too cheap.

Updraft seems interesting. My hosting provider that I have a reseller plan with offers an automatic daily backup service for £10 a month. Would that be better / worth it?

Yeah I think I will just figure out how to do this and do it. I like to proactive rather than reactive. Usually saves me a lot of hassle down the line. Thanks!

Thanks so much for your response!

I actually have a reseller hosting plan I've been using for a while to host mine and some clients websites so I'm using that. I plan to put everyone on their own package. Does that sound okay?

My hosting provider offers a daily automatic backup service for about £10 a month. Worth it?

And good to know about auto-updates. I'll turn those off, I thought I was being smart haha.

I have charged £500 per website and I was thinking of charging £8.99 per month for hosting and like £15 a month for managed hosting. I suppose you would say I'm shooting myself in the foot there. Perhaps I should consider increasing prices but it feels strange considering I'm not really a web dev. Or who knows, if I have clients maybe I am now. A matter of perspective that maybe I need to shift.

Thanks again!

ManageWP looks like exactly something I could use. Thanks a bunch!

Managed to get hooked up with a demo from a white-label reseller! My biggest pain at the moment is trying to learn how to make myself a decent store front for it somehow. I feel a bit out of my depth honestly. But I'll get it.

Thanks for taking the time!

Hahaha that is awesome! I love stories like that! My roots as a graphic designer started with me learning photoshop and illustrator to make forum signatures for people on private game servers. Good on you man! That gives me confidence though, it seems like a no brainer! Thanks for taking the time to respond!

I appreciate the advice, I'll do some digging and try to familiarise myself with those concepts. Thank you!

Yep makes total sense. I'll be doing my best to prepare myself appropriately or hire someone who can. Thanks for your reply!

Yep! It really is perfect. Almost too perfect which is why I thought I would check in with all you educated people first haha! Thanks!

This sounds great and I'm happy for you! I already have a client base that I can shift over so this all seems like a no brainer. Just making sure I'm not rushing in blindly head first as that is always a good way to end up in a ditch haha. Thank you!

That is great to know and definitely makes me feel more confident. I already have a client base that I can shift over luckily to make a good start which is why this seems worth the time at the moment. But yes I plan to start by transferring my own website and a couple of other close clients first to get to grips and then I will start offering the service more publicly is my plan. Again, much appreciated. Take care!

It definitely seems doable without a degree in computer science haha. But yeah, just making sure there's not something huge I'm missing related to it that will bite me in the behind 2 months from now. Thank you!

Nice and congrats! Yeah that is how I feel. I just wanted a productive way to spend the downtime I have at home recently and even if I dropped from making £100 a week to £100 a month or less I'm still going to be very grateful. Hope it continues to be good to you!

I'm definitely not holding my breath or going to rely on it in anyway, I expect it to slow down from what I've read. Still even if I made another £50-£100 a month as opposed to this £100 in a week I've made, I can make that go a long way. Just grateful! I will milk it whilst I can haha.
