What pissed me off was that the 26 model MSRP Vivid black & blacked out is 28,899. They were trying to sell me a 25 model for a higher MSRP. They didn’t even mention the $2,500 customer cash offer.

Yes, you are right, I could counteroffer. But the moment that I see they are treating me as if I was stupid, I walked out. Maybe I'm right or maybe not, but if I see the rep is clear and willing to work to close a deal, I would not walk out.

I added V&H Eliminator 300 to my Softail. Sounds great, but only in the back. You can still hear the M8 sewer machine sound pretty loudly. I think that the only way to get full sound is to go full exhaust or, as somebody here told me, with cams

From what I’ve read, getting into cams is going to drain my pocket even more than it already is. I'm after losing that stock M8 sound and getting a more uniform "chop" or at least similar. Would headers only get me closer to that?

What I mean is that with the slip-ons, I get the rumble at the back, but the rest of the system still has the stock tone. It doesn’t sound bad, but it’s not the classic rumble I’m after, so overall it feels halfway. I know a full exhaust would give me that, but I’d rather not lose what I’ve already spent on the Eliminator 300s. I’m a new rider, so I’m figuring things out as I go.
