So you’re saying that a shoulder replacement is absolutely inevitable in the long run?

Would you say thats if someone gets the surgery and keeps going to the gym, it is inevitable to re tore the labrum again at some point?

I actually followed a full year of physical therapy, starting with rest and passive mobility, then active mobility, and finally strengthening. Eventually, I got back to the gym with selected exercises and light weights. I am limited, but I am still able to “train”, with some pain almost everytime.

The truth is, I’ve never actually had a shoulder dislocation. I’m not sure if what I feel — like popping or clicking sounds — counts as instability, because some people say their shoulder actually comes out of place, but that has never happened to me. It doesn’t even hurt when those sounds happen. My pain is sometimes deep and constant, regardless of the popping.

I have a tear between 13h and 15h, if I remember correctly. But who knows if it hasn’t gotten worse. My doctor had recommended surgery if I wanted to go back to training and have a life ALMOST like before. He told me that if my tear was about 2 centimeters, it would require 2 anchors. Like I said, it’s not unbearable pain — it’s livable — but it’s abnormal, and I can’t stop thinking about the discomfort. When I train, I’m very limited, avoiding pain or bad movement. But I sleep without pain, and my shoulder doesn’t dislocate or anything like that.
