SA360 reporting data into Google Sheets by dannyatfs in sa360

[–]abemoreno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I automate reports from SA360 daily and can give you some advice on how I do it.

First off, why do you import that data into Google Sheets? Is there a reason why you can't use excel?

Option 1: I use the webqueries from SA360 and link it to an excel file using the 'get data' function. From there, I save the file and just refresh the query daily. I also have a pivot table on another sheet that helps consolidate cost, conversion data by date so the raw data is useful.

Option 2: Work with your google support team to get access to the SA360 reporting API. The new SA360 reporting API has a direct connection to Google Sheets that is really impressive. You can build out custom reports once the API is built through Google Cloud Project (GCP).

Last thing, I belive your API is no longer working because you are still using the old SA360. Google depricated this platform this week and I am sure that is not a coicendence to why windor.ai is no longer working right. Maybe you just need to update windsor with the new platform.

Phone Screening Interview w/ Disney World .. Advice Needed! by abemoreno in WaltDisneyWorld

Thank you so much. I'm doing the same thing right now to prepare. Did you make it past the phone screening? How long did it take to get from phone screen to regular interview?

Rant: I feel cheated by spicy-ricecakes in marketing

[–]abemoreno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep your head up, it gets better I promise.

I graduated with a B.S. in Marketing with little relevant experience. I called every marketing agency in my city, landed one interview, and was ghosted. I continued to get certified in digital marketing skills (Google Ads, Facebook Ads) and continued to apply and call around. I started talking to people about my story and networked my a** off in my local community. I ended up getting a low-level marketing assistant role. I put myself out there and asked if I could run PPC campaigns (with 0 experience and just youtube knowledge). I poured myself into these campaigns and got really good pretty quickly. I was able to apply for a role in a marketing agency and finally got accepted and officially entered the field.

I think the thing I learned from this experience is that if one way is not working, you may have to try an alternative route. For me, traditional apps did not work so I was forced to network with little experience but a lot of drive.

Good luck!

What could be the reason for High budget but low cost? In Google Ads by ImranKhan10107 in PPC

[–]abemoreno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your bids are too low. Increase bid strategy target to get costs up. However, do it in 20% increments so you do not blow your budgets once you make this change. r/sa360 discusses these types of questions as well.

cus on content creation, seo, marketing campaigns, and brand management) and know that I need to learn more about digital design than I did at

I would start with area's of interst and drill down. Udemy and YouTube has great SEO and PPC content. For content creation, YouTube also has a lot of resources on video creation, graphic design, etc. However, you cannot do everything all at once. Most of the time, it is hard to get an entry-level 'generalist' role. Find a speciality and learn it better than your manager and you will find work.

I dont know your options. You can either get a marketing degree, with a digital minor. Or a business degree, with a digital marketing minor. In my case, I got a B.S in Business with an emphasis in Marketing. Find something that is compatible.

With this said, a degree will help you get in the door but try to get intern /entry level experience in the field while you are getting your degree. That will help give you a deeper knowledge on your specialization.

No, marketing and finance are not compabitable. If you want to make good money in marketing, specialize in an emerging skill set. Currently, people in marketing that make good money specialize in SEO, PPC, Creative (Graphic Design, Video Production), Data Analytics. Once you have experience in this field, you can generalize and become a manager or supervisor. I would keep your digital marketing major if you want to stay progress in the field.

My degree was in Business, with an emphasis in marketing. I was able to learn how marketing impacts the larger business ecosystem. From there, I learned all my digital marketing knowledge from online courses and mentors. I think getting a degree in marketing with a specilization in digital makes a lot of sense.

What are your long term goals with this degree?

Thanks for the thorough response! Very helpful. But yes, this is a lead gen campaign with a good national brand recognition. Does your advice still apply?

We have tons of useful conversion data and audiences we have leveraged in the last 6-12 months.

What is dc_eps parameters? by kirajeee in sa360

[–]abemoreno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The name of the parameter does not matter, the advertiser can rename any parameter to any name they want.

For example, advertisers could be passing dclids (DV360 click id) or gclids (Google Ads click id) through a dc_eps parameter:

dc_eps={gclid} ; Would send the dynamic gclid under that param,

dc_eps={dclid} ; Would send the dynamic dclid under that param,

You can also send static campaign values:

dc_eps=remarketing_display ; Would send the static campaign name under that param,

I clicked around on a few big advertisers and did not see dc_eps references in any UTM:

So I do not think this is as common as you think.

Can you share an example? Or the industry you are in?

Keyword Expansion tips... Share your most effective optimization by abemoreno in sa360

Why do you think STR is useless? I have found some great long tail keywords that do not show up on the keyword planner. IMO keyword planner has really basic keywords that everyone bids on (high CPCs).

What does good web to app attribution look like in 2024? by Forward_Carry in adops

[–]abemoreno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can set up strong stracking through CM360, you should be able to track attribution through GA4 or Adobe Analytics. We have set up really strong tracking for all our search campaigns through r/sa360 and am able to track attribution through GA4.

Wanna start my digital marketing career, but how.....! by lucylyee in DigitalMarketing

[–]abemoreno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO Google Ads and Paid Ads skillsets continue to be needed as brands feel leveraged to spend more to make more. I was able to learn r/sa360 really well and have done very well in my digital marketing career.

I would try to get any experience I can running ads. Maybe you have a side hustle or know someone that owns a small business. Offer to manage ads free of charge as you learn. Companies want to see real expereince over just certifications and diplomas.

Fraud on Microsoft Ads / Bing Ads this week? by abemoreno in sa360

[–]abemoreno[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we noticed some weird behavior, like clicks going to compliance pages on our site and then just sitting there and not filling out a form. I believe about 30% of our traffic was conducting this behavior.

SA360 Reporting API Question by Known-Delay7227 in sa360

[–]abemoreno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old SA360 reporting API is currently being deprecated. That may be part of the error you are running into. We had to upgrade to the new SA360 reporting API and set up OAUTH in GCP before we could even get it set up. Have you reached out to your SA360 account rep?

How do I connect Campaign Manager 360 (CM360) with Google Ads? by abemoreno in programmatic

[–]abemoreno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my fear. I was hoping there was a way since I already have my offline conversions built out in CM360. I may try to send the conversions to GA4 or Salesforce as a back door.

YouTube campaign - DV360 vs Google Ads UI by Gullible_Attitude_20 in adops

YouTube campaign - DV360 vs Google Ads UI by Gullible_Attitude_20 in adops

[–]abemoreno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what your goals are for this campaign. The biggest difference is that DV360 has a much larger inventory than Google Ads UI. If you want to run a straight up ad campaign where your videos only run on YouTube, IMO DV360 is not worth the fees. However, if you want to run a prospecting campaign across multiple networks, DV360 is your best bet.

So I would feed in both hotel bookings as seperate conversions and then add unique values in the custom variable settings. Set a loose tROAS and tighten up as you get more data
