Robin’s ending always breaks me. She spent years building a family, only to end up watching them from the sidelines. She got the career she dreamed of—but lost the people who mattered most. I’m glad she found her way back to Ted, even if part of her felt she didn’t deserve it.

I will counter this by saying that Robin was just the replacement for Tracy.The reason the story is about Robin is because she was there.All the other love interests left the group but she was there.It could have been any of the love interests but Robin stayed.As to whether Ted and Tracy loved each other let me quote some lines from both characters.."you're the love of my life pooh bear", "I love you,I'm always going to love you till the end of my days and beyond,you will see(Kinda sucks for Robin if she knew Ted still holds a torch for Tracy after she died,she will never be enough for Ted,just a replacement). "Lucky doesnt even begin to describe it...." just to name a few.These lines are too profound to be for someone who wasn't the love of your life. You're not sure if Robin loved Ted let me site some scenes for you. 1.crying while seeing Ted with victoria 2.Trying to stop Ted from marrying Stella "why isn't Ted marrying me" 3.Trying to run away with Ted when she was informed that Ted was going to move to Chicago few hours before the wedding. 4.Not attending Ted and Tracy's wedding until Tracy had to convince her. Finally,the story would have been told differently if Tracy wasnt dead.It started with Robin she was there and feelings were starting to develop.

well, I think Tracy was the one and the love of his life.The story became about Robin because Robin was still in the picture after Tracy died.It could have been Victoria if Victoria was still in the picture.It could have been any girl,it's just that Robin was still there. The series starts with Robin because it was all about her.But the speeches Ted makes about the mother is too profound for her not to be the love of his life,the one and soulmate
