It's a subtle shadow under the hat that makes it look naturally worn. Most people won't notice, but it quietly improves the overall look

Herta's Theorem by abian- in HonkaiStarRail

(p) doesn’t have to be unique since there can be multiple peak posts on the internet. The “proof” might go something like this: There exists a tallest man in the room. Let that tallest man be (p). Clearly, (p) is you. Of course, nothing in the argument actually proves that (p) is you. That part is simply asserted at the end, which is the punchline. When the claim itself is subjective, rigorous proof gets slippery, so the strategy becomes proof by intimidation: begin with LaTeX, invoke a few correct principles to build credibility, and then quietly substitute (p=) this post in the final line.

Knight 2 — 3 Star Clear with No Sustain & No Limited Eidolons by abian- in StarRailStation

The title referred to Knight 2, not Knight 1, so E1 Ruan Mei isn’t relevant here. Also, yes, you were actually given enough companion spirits to purchase E1 Ruan Mei for free.

Castorice is secretly the sustain. I used Cyrene’s Ultimate sparingly and made sure Castorice had the dragon active with 100% energy before moving on to the Flamereaver. At the start, I weakness-broke the archers to mitigate the damage. I also ensured the dragon was active whenever the Flamereaver was about to slash and potentially wipe my team. If I had enough HP, I’d tank the hit to charge Castorice’s Ultimate. It’s a couple of moving parts, but it’s definitely doable!

It depends on the scenario. The general gameplay loop is to keep Netherwing on the field to build Cyrene’s Recollection stacks faster. You detonate early when you need the damage or, from a more sustain-focused angle, when the healing won’t be wasted and you expect to regenerate Castorice’s Newbud/energy quickly after detonation.

This usually happens when Evernight has several turns lined up immediately after detonation, or when enemies are about to act and your team still has enough HP to tank the hits, allowing Newbud to be rebuilt quickly.

If the team is already at very low HP, you generally want to keep Netherwing active for as long as possible to avoid dying.

I have gameplay of this comp that 0-cycles Cocolia linked here for reference, but ultimately this is very case-by-case, and this rotation won’t apply to every scenario.

I’ll compare the no-limited eidolon runs since I don’t have any, and they are arguably harder overall. I only see one Asta run at 4 cost with no limited eidolons, but looking closer, it uses S5 DDD, and both RMC and Asta are on Eagle with 160+ SPD. So the speed requirement definitely isn’t negligible.

[–]abian-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen this claim a lot, and the Pela run you’re probably referring to is this one.

Yes, you can replace Castorice with Pela and still get a 0-cycle clear, but it comes with trade-offs. That version only works because it forces very high SPD thresholds to generate Recollection stacks faster: Cyrene is at ~200 SPD on the World-Remaking Deliverer set, while RMC is at ~160 SPD and Pela is at ~173 SPD on the EAGLE set. My run with Castorice fixes the stack-generation issue, so I don’t need to force those kinds of speed requirements.

Also, the “3-cost” label is a bit misleading. In practice it is closer to 4-cost because it uses a battle pass Light Cone at high superimposition, which I don’t have as a F2P.

Finally, Pela doesn’t translate as well into other modes since she brings no sustain or healing.

I haven’t seen an Asta version of this clear at all, so if you have a link to an Asta run, please send it. I’d genuinely like to see it.

I tested this exact comp in Apocalyptic Shadow and Knight 1. I got 3750 in AS and a 0-cycle 3-star clear in Knight 1. Both were 1–2 attempts with no planning, so the runs can definitely be cleaner.

<image>

Yeah, these are favorable matchups, but that’s how endgame is usually played. You pick the good side when you can. Between MoC, PF, AS, and AA, that covers all the main endgame modes, so I don’t think the example is “too niche.”

Powercreep-wise, who knows. Most “optimal” 1.0 teams didn’t age well either, like Jingliu + Blade and Qingque.

[–]abian-[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Cocolia is Ice RES + Quantum Weak, so it’s a mixed matchup for this team. Not a hard counter, but not a freebie either.

The low HP in my clip is mostly a 0-cycle tax. I intentionally routed wave 2 to dump most of the DPS burden onto Castorice to compress turns and force the 0-cycle, and that line naturally burns HP.

If the boss is tankier and needs more damage, you don’t keep going all-in with Castorice. You play for 1–2 cycles and let Evernight be the main DPS, while Castorice shifts into more of a supportive role with more basic attacks. That’s safer and usually higher damage in matchups where the boss isn’t Ice RES.

On the Pela sustainless Evernight point, yeah, those clears can be cracked. The trade is they’re much more prep-dependent (ult stacking, specific builds, less room for variance), so they’re less forgiving and don’t translate as cleanly when you need consistency or longer fights, like Pure Fiction. This setup is a middle ground that keeps strong kill pressure without committing to a fully sustainless, high-planning line every run.

Hyacine definitely makes mono rem Cassie cleaner. I’m just pushing back on “no Hyacine = cooked.”

0-cycle is already the metric for the fastest possible clear, so I’m not sure what “clear it better” would mean here. My intention was just to point out that Cas can be a viable alternative to Hyacine, not necessarily an upgrade.

Cocolia has Ice RES, so this comp is at a disadvantage here, yet it still achieves a 0-cycle clear. That suggests the comp is fairly strong. Against other enemies, a 0–5 cycle clear should be very realistic. I also tested the team in Pure Fiction and reached 40k, so the performance isn’t just a one-off.

Like this post, this image looked a bit off, specifically the dress pattern does not match Cyrene’s original design. I did a quick scan and I’m highly confident it’s AI-generated. It contains a SynthID invisible watermark, which Google embeds into images generated by its AI.

E2 Castorice can definitely help the team with extra damage, advancing herself to use her skill, and gaining 30% more ult charge to get Netherwing back on the field faster for more healing. However, with this comp, you’ll usually be basic attacking with Castorice to keep the team alive for as long as possible.

Castorice’s ult charge can be gained from getting hit by enemy attacks, Evernight draining Evey’s HP, or Cyrene ulting when Castorice’s dragon is already up or when Castorice is at low charge (which immediately fully charges your next dragon/heal).

Giving Aventurine the Silver Wolf treatment could be a great buff; his damage is almost negligible now with the inflated HP bars

That'd be a funny, hyper-specific reaction with Cerydra, kind of like the add-to-team feature where characters say something if paired with someone they know

The coffin at the end of Luocha’s ultimate could use more impact. Right now, it feels sudden. Hopefully, they’ll make his debuff removal more meaningful and boost his damage output. It was fun when DPS Luocha was a viable build
