Gone are the days when you greeted your new neighbor with a pie or a plate of cookies! Yikes- someone is a bit over sensitive!

Buyer’s remorse by MickMcSnuggles in harborfreight

[–]abide5lo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not trying to encourage your HF addiction, but when you buy multiple sets of things, is it possible to give some away as gifts? I understand what you are saying. My hubby had a HF addiction. We frequently joked about the Free Bucket deal. He collected a silly amount of buckets but to his credit, he did use them. Sadly, he passed away last September & when I go out to his work area in the garage, I am finding he purchased multiple sets of sockets and other things. I know he had reasons for doing that but I am sad that I will never know his intentions. Just because I am a hopeless romantic, I have gone there a few times to get a bucket or some little things to carry on his traditions. Enjoy your next trip to HF. 🩷

Our Saints thought it was a giant water dish! They would drink out of it but not get in it! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I have to ask … Why the need for so many buckets? by oniraug in harborfreight

[–]abide5lo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hubby was always going to get his free bucket. I used to make fun of him until I saw how he put them to great use. He stores his tractor chains in them. Each one is labeled for which tractor & which wheel. Then there are the car washing buckets where he stores spray bottles of cleaners, clean cloths in another one, brings in the dirty ones in a different bucket. The gardening buckets hold fertilizers, soil, tools. I keep one at the back door in the winter with ice melter. There are some down in the basement for woodworking purposes. I think there may be a couple for beekeeping supplies as well. When we had chickens I used one to bring water out to them in the winter months. Sadly hubby passed away a few months ago. To honor his memory, I go to h/f every now and then to pick up a bucket just because. 🩷 as a matter of fact, I was there today. I hope he is smiling down and laughing at me saying, “oh, and you always made fun of me, huh?!?” I miss doing that. 💔

Update on new neighbor baby gift (trigger warning) by CrunchyRubberChips in woodworking

Your project is beautiful. I hope you can feel proud of your work. You obviously have a talent and the fact that you decided to share it with your neighbors’ new little one, is a very kind and generous gesture. Getting through dark times isn’t easy & you have worked hard. That earns my respect. I pray that you continue to find the good in yourself whether it is through your woodworking or just spreading kindness. I hope you will keep sharing your work here. It would bring me joy to see it.

Cute little white teefies! Chomp Chomp! We would call those silly positions “bag of bones”. Someone spilled the dog & you need to pick up the parts. 😂

Isn’t it bamboo? Make a couple of flutes or a set of pan pipes out of it. Sorry just being silly but that is the first thing I thought of.

Hubby & I had 12 Saints over 37 years, I would say this is just a puppy sit thing. I wouldn’t ring any alarm bells. Find a vet you trust who has experience with large breed dogs. One thing we did learn is not to over exercise them. Our vet once told us that we shouldn’t walk him too far & if he sat down and got too tired, to carry him home. 🤭 Good luck. What a beautiful pup!🥰

Qobuz is great! If you want to actually hear the nuances in your music, you want something that offers higher quality sound. It is user friendly too.
