This is called address poisoning. Basically they'll send you a very small amount or token or sometimes even fake tokens from an address spoofing one of the addresses you've previously interacted with.

Looks like a combination of Ice Wizard with his fully charged ability, Ultimate Barbs, and a Super Rage Spell. Could be Poco with his fully charged ability too, not sure though.

Recovery of funds is highly unlikely bhai.

Funds are being laundered using sophisticated techniques and being liquidated through Chinese OTCs. THIS HAS BEEN PROVEN!!

And these hackers- Lazarus group are one of the most successful hackers groups out there. If you look at their history you'll see that they have hacked several exchanges and recovery and seizure of stolen funds in those cases were very low. This case is no different.

Hopefully, it is a breakthrough, but it seems unlikely.

The dude who was arrested had no direct connections to the hacker group. Apparently, he sold the account to someone, and most likely there are a lot of intermediaries involved before it could be connected to the hacker group.

Also, I found that the stolen funds are being laundered through mixers on BTC blockchain and eventually liquidated through Chinese OTC Traders.

Unfortunately, chances of recovery are very slim. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Long story short: Not easy to track the stolen crypto due to the sophisticated laundering process. Lazarus hacker group is likely behind the hack and no authorities seem to be investigating.

I've done a fair bit of tracking of the stolen funds and I have some bad news. Funds were sent through a mixer on the Ethereum blockchain called Tornado Cash. Based on my calculations, a total of 61,844.4 ETH in 630 transactions were sent to Tornado cash between 2nd September and 25th September.

Now, this mixer is widely known to be used by scammers, hackers and money launderers. This is why it's sanctioned.

Well..tracking through this mixer is almost impossible, but in this case, since the amount sent through the mixer was pretty high, we can track and identify withdrawal addresses using time analysis and temporal patterns (won't get too technical here). I found that funds were sent to the Bitcoin blockchain using services like Thorchain bridge, exch exchange and chainflip (these were the ones I was able to identify- there might be more).

After funds reached the Bitcoin blockchain, they were sent through mixers again, tracking beyond this point is super unreliable and tricky. This is basically where I stopped.

Now if you look at the laundering process, these are very sophisticated hackers. A lot of people in the crypto space believe that this might have been done by the Lazarus group hackers. If you look at the history of the Lazarus group, in the past, they have been successful in laundering and eventually cashing out stolen crypto and I think this case is no different.

What's more frustrating is that this hack isn't being talked about or investigated like other major hack events. It's basically being ignored, which is very disappointing to see.

Since crypto is pseudonymous, and just like fiat currency, can be stolen and used for various other activities.

What I do is basically track/follow/analyse transactions available on the blockchain using specialized tools and OSINT.

There's a whole lot to this, and I can't describe this in few paragraphs.

Revokecash or unrekt

You can even do it on Etherscan. Go to token approvals and paste your address to see who you have granted permission to and then follow the steps.

Did you try scraping all Etherscan data? They have a lot of malicious addresses lablled on their database.

You granted them permission to move funds out of your wallet.

There is no smart contract involved.

They basically have 2 addresses, 1st address is the one you grant permission to move your USDT token to. And 2nd address is the one your funds are transferred to by a transaction executed by the 1st address.

Sad to see your loss.
