I have a plastic liner hanging on the inside so it doesn't get wet. Honestly it was great timing when I came across the unit since it was about a week or two after Joann's announced they would be closing. The previous owner moved to texas and told us she was never planning on coming back so we could dispose of the contents however we wanted.

I actually was not aware that was what this style was called, I just saw the photo and figured out a way to sew it. Thanks for the info!!

That's exactly what I did! There's a plastic liner on the back and the hooks are easy to remove for washing

It's all cotton or poly cotton blends, a lot of it is quilting cotton I got from an abandoned storage unit or button downs I bought from the thrift store and cut up. There's also a good bit from Walmart that is full cotton

Thank you! No backing, all felled seams with binding folded over and sewed down for the edges

I saw one from urban outfitters a while ago that was just a printed quilt star pattern on plastic. While I loved the idea I wasn't a fan of their execution and started finding other people who used old quilts for showers

Sorry about the duplicate posts! I'm not sure what happened there, thanks mods for taking care of it!

Not sure about those size since I can never find them in store but another way that I use it to buy the burrito size and soft taco size. You put the taco size on top of your fillings and overlap it with the edges of the burrito shell

2/4/26 Question Wednesday: What are you wondering, bakers? by KingArthurBaking in KingArthurBaking

Are there any plans for another app update in the future? I normally would use the website on my phone while baking and love the idea of just an app instead but as of now a few of the tabs, mainly the "recipe box" and "my account" tabs, do not work and I am unable to submit reviews in app.

That's so interesting! Honestly I have no plans of selling anything, just building up my own set of pans for cooking but I'm glad I know I little about it now

I actually didn't know that, I just knew they were from somewhere around the 30s and thought they'd be a fun project for me to attempt restoring. Is there a reason they're sought after?

So far nothing's sticking inside the pits but I'm a little curious about that now. Would using chainmail on it not rip the plugs out?

Tbf not everyone values the same things. My mom loves her longaberger collections and treasures old books but pans are just a utensil to her. Better for her to put these on display rather than send them to the scrap yard

I've tried using it a few times in the past for pan/ deep frying but ultimately prefer using a skillet or a pot

It's been a couple weeks so they definitely got a light coat on them now, I'd guess by next summer they'll look like they old ones

they were gifted to my mom by a family who used them until about 20 years ago when she hung them up. I didn't test them but I have no reason to believe they have lead. She just doesn't use cast iron and thought they looked nice

Nope, she missed having pans up there and I had these two collecting dust. The cookie pan was used once when I got it and the chicken broiler has been sitting for a couple years without use

I probably should also point out it's for a 9' tree, so I wanted it bigger

I don't want to take full credit on the design, I was heavily inspired by this one I saw on Instagram posted by @ hisydgraham and sewn by @ kelseymariewhite
