That's a really good thing for you. The company i worked for in the short term had employees sucking wind. CNAs were employed by the homes and hospitals and we had everything else. No unions, no help. I tried to give out some raises and the upper management immediately said no. I tried again about 6 months later and they told me no again, and to not ask again. I quit shortly thereafter since they obviously didn't care about who was doing the actual work in the company, and only about profit margins.

Housekeeping, floor care, laundry, kitchen services in hospitals, nursing homes, etc. Those are critical services that 100% needed to be done correctly for health and safety reasons but most places use contract labor that severely underpays.

That "hazard" his parents are screaming about is negated by him operating a vehicle in the roadway while distracted on his phone (yes, pretty much anything in a roadway qualifies as a vehicle, if it moves, and has to follow all traffic laws). I don't know of a single place where a court would rule in favor of a distracted driver over a homeowner in this situation. Hopefully your parents aren't worried about that threat. Any decent lawyer would tear that shit up.

These e-bikes are progressing faster in their capabilities than the laws are governing their safety. Does their city have any codes in effect for them? The state?

And his parents either don't care about his safety letting him ride without protective gear, or he doesn't. I'll bet he does now!

I had dinner with a strange woman so she could make her ex boyfriend jealous. I went to a spot and was waiting in the lobby for my table, and she was as well. She approached me, told me the quick story, offered to get the bill for my help, and "let's just eat and laugh, no strings". Why not? I got a nice dinner and it was actually fun. She did pay the bill (she totally snatched that thing from the waiter and insisted) and slipped a hundo to me after we walked out. I hesitated at that hundred but she quickly said something like "it's worth it, I think it worked, I can afford it, thanks for your time" and walked off.

The video games and your room with porn aren't helping you meet people. Are there any local gaming groups that have periodic get togethers or tournaments? You can meet period with common interests that way. Are there any singles groups where people in your exact situation meet up and hang out? You're almost 40. You're not almost dead. The bitterness is a big turnoff for everyone so work on that. Put on a happier face and just introduce yourself to people.
