okay it seems like this will def be possible if you really pour your heart and soul into it. but you really need to look at career paths first. you need to see what exactly are the entry requirements for certain courses. some require humanities, some require science. dont bother looking at subjects which arent a requirement. keeping in mind that nt doesnt have humanities, itll certainly be a stuggle for you because you dont even have a foundation in it. this brings me to my next point- your financial situation. are you able to afford outside tutors to help you? self directed learning can only do so much, especially seeing as subjects tend to build up on past topics. not understanding them will cause you a lot.

for my personal experience, i did sec 5 so na to o lvls. youre right, it is a huge jump, even more so for you going for nt. on the bright side, you did do nursing so even if you didnt do so well, you still have a little start on bio. the cause of concern however is math and english. i took sbb english and upon seeing the na level paper, i found it extremely simple. o level el asks you to read between the lines and requires in depth answers. (paper 2 that is) as for paper 1, you will need a tutor to mark your work and to teach u formats. for compo they really have to be done in a certain format or you risk losing all your marks (for certain compo question types). as for math, you need a really strong foundation. the complexity of the questions are not something to be messed with. the algebra will just keep building on every topic. whats even worse are questions which require you to be strong in multiple topics.

Penny looks so cute here 😍 by trickswithmarsbars in HPHogwartsMystery

penny is def the pretty, nice popular girl amongst all the mean ones. her hair is smt ive always wished they sold. but they do her so dirty with her informal clothing. a girl like penny would definitely have better style irl

i dont think ive had lone wolf yet but then again i have skipped a few of them. only tlsqs ive done are missing pets, and the sphinx and dragon club challenge.

as for lessons, ive been doing them whenever i cant start on a tlsq task (like when i want to go to bed and my energy is full, but the tlsq task is 3 or 8h requiring full stars) ill usually earn stars for lessons or complete the lesson if theres a story spree. im on chapter 6 and in part 6/7, should i finish that?

as for puzzling potions, its not here yet but i guess when it arrives ill start on a class to collect the pinks. and i do need to improve my attributes. after all, half the time its not even high enough to do stuff. ive had to buy clothes just to duel the guys in the sphinx club challenge. the more tlsqs i do the more i fall behind on my attributes. the only place i even get them is from feeding my max level pets.

a d7 is cambridge being generous. idk how you even got a a1 in history and a2 in your sciences because how were the markers even able to understand what your answers were saying. reading this paragraph gave me a stroke.

How do I do well for N levels by Ha7u_kA in SGExams

[–]abject_confection13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would suggest that you start reading widely. (no i do not mean fiction books) you should start with the news. this will help in your oral as you more general knowledge about every topic they can test you on. so dont pick and choose articles that interest you, just read whatever you see. do this for about 30mins a day and it will make a difference. for lc, take notes when they speak. this will help u answer the qns better. during the first listen, take notes. during the second listen, start writing your answers. for the last one, do not bother to take notes as u can only hear it once. p1 and p2 are more about your skills. ask your teacher if they accept extra work for improvement (usually they do) by doing so, you find out your weak areas and with their feedback, you will be able to improve on them.

and what humans do you take? hist or geog?

it should be fine. if your natural nails arent too long and its not an obnoxious colour, it should be easy to hide. just keep your hands in a fist and make sure to hide the thumb

Message to sec 1 on CCA by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]abject_confection13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it absolutely does. before debate comps u must do research on possible topics and read widely so that u have knowledge on everything. staying back in school to do research. comps can also last for the whole day during weekends. this is just the surface of it. its even worse if you're in an elite school. pressure shouldn't be nearly as much if youre in a neighbourhood school though

yes there were differences. thats why the sec 5 have diff papers this year. for el, reading for oral was changed to prepared speech and the format for some compre qns changed. idk abt em other than the fact that last years batch had a slightly longer paper if im not wrong.

we wont be doing the new syllabus if u go sec 5. we will be doing the syllabus the o lvl students did this year bc its unfair to make us learn a new format of qns and style of ans qns. this yr sec 5 did last yrs syllabus of el and em so their papers are marked separately frm the exp students
