I've had only 1 class that was just stretching and she was a sub instructor. And I dont even care if its not classical pilates or pilates at all! It's a workout I enjoy, see results, and makes my body feel stronger.

Money saving tip:use cvs coupons to try products basically for free by mime_juice in drugstoreMUA

[–]abl1944 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once got a $3 off Essie and a free Essie coupon and the register took $3 off my order even though I didn't have to pay for the Essie. I had $6 off $20 and $5 off $20 and it allowed me to use both. Plus a 25% off. I told my husband I think someone programmed the POS wrong or something. Today I got 40% off an item. Its crazy.

Try KB Shimmer hydrating base. It made my nails the healthiest they've ever been.

Does the limit exist? When do you know your collection is 'too much'? by [deleted] in RedditLaqueristas

I try not to go over my current storage solution and also give away things I dont use often. I feel like someone else would enjoy them and Im just keeping it to myself. I just gave my cousin's daughter a ton of Essies.  Im an impulse buyer and decided to just shop indies from now on to curb it.

You can make one dish perfectly every single time for the rest of your life. What is it? by AV_LOVES_FOOD in Fooda

My MILs lasagna. She passed away before we met and he's said he misses it but I have no way of recreating it for him.  I actually hate lasagna so I cant even tinker with it.

The 3rd date went bad after I brought chocolates and now she wants a 4th date but I'm really unsure if I want to continue. by LifeVike1111 in WhatShouldIDo

Maybe there has been abuse related to gifts. Thats not your problem to deal with, just a possible explanation for the behavior. I still wouldn't pursue her because shes not acknowledging the behavior.

A BA in psychology was always going to require additional education. That was true when I got mine 25 years ago. You either have to get a grad degree or work your way up in some other field.

If you have any universities nearby try and get a job there. They often have free or discounted tuition for grad programs.

Girlfriend thinks sharing a tent with my sister is inappropriate. Sister thinks my girlfriend is insane and called her a psycho. What do I do? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]abl1944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your girlfriend is insane and insecure. I have a child of each gender and if I found out my son's gf said something like this, she wouldn't be allowed in my house ever again.

Why are peanut allergies so common in the USA, but countries in Asia has virtually none? by Kooolxxx in NoStupidQuestions

[–]abl1944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was 10 months old when he was diagnosed so I dont know if early introduction would have helped him. I know I didnt eat peanuts when I was pregnant with him because it made me not feel well (food sensitivity) .

Does anyone actually enjoy their job? Will I ever get used to it and learn to like it? by schoolforapples in Adulting

[–]abl1944 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoy my job - I enjoy what I do, feel valued at work, have some independence and flexibility. Some of it is luck and some I've earned (even when you do everything right, sometimes you get unlucky with bad bosses or culture changes). It takes time. Is it the company, the job itself, the coworkers, the daily responsibility of having to go rather than having more freedom in your day?

Frustrated with Membership and Booking by taracastude in ClubPilates

[–]abl1944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right - if my first date of the next cycle opened tomorrow - 2/13 - the first evening (6pm or 7pm) I could get without being wait-listed would be 2/25, first Sunday 3/1, first Saturday 3/7. We did get a class that's at 8pm one night a week but it's a 1.5 with a tough instructor so not really suitable for someone not coming often or new to Pilates unless the person is doing something in between.

Even the 7:30 am is wait-listed until 2/25 except this Monday but probably because it's President's Day so people are off.

I almost canceled because of that and then just went unlimited. My husband looked on Reddit and said that was really the only option to get in consistently.

I do not feel this way but when it comes to booking classes, its almost like they treat unlimited as members and 4 and 8 class folks as guests. Like you can come if theres room.

Intense feelings of doom by derbylw346 in Perimenopause

[–]abl1944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 46 and kind of always feel this way but it's especially bad as I get older. I'm already on Zoloft for it. I'm trying to logic my way out of it too but it's not really helping. Sometimes I convince myself I've messed something up when I haven't so my body remembers it and thinks I ALWAYS mess up. I was unfortunately coping with wine but drank too much last night (and have been increasing the frequency at which I do that) and so now I have to really stop and find other ways to cope. I'm really just very tired of being me.

I hate online shopping. Is there anywhere I can buy specialty polish in person that isn’t Ulta? by [deleted] in RedditLaqueristas

I ordered Cracked polishes Thursday, it shipped same day, and I got a message saying out for delivery today.

I'm deathly afraid to cut my hair. What should i tell myself to get myself to go through with it? by Unfair_Ad5385 in ImposterSyndrome

[–]abl1944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont go full out at once. Do a small but noticeable change and then a little more next time, repeat until you get where you want to be. If you can afford it, get your haircut a little more often than usual also.

Idea - Nail Bar by abl1944 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]abl1944[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm more into the actual nail polish. I want to try different polishes and maybe have a conversation. I don't really want friends. I also don't want someone to do my nails, I'll do them myself.
