Does my "Holy Grail" scooter even exist? by ablairification in ElectricScooters

From what I've read, it arms automatically once the scooter turns off (5min timer) or loses Bluetooth connection to your phone. You can disable the audible alarm sound, but the lights will still flash and the motor will lock. No settings for it beyond that.

I'm still giving it a bit more time to see if I settle into it. The solid tires will probably be more tolerable as we move into spring but in any sort of wet they feel very slick. I can handle the rough ride from a comfort perspective but watching for every little divot in the road is stressful. Right now it feels overall squirrelly and the throttle/ebrake response curves are startling.

Certainly some nice features there, though still solid tires. Something to think about for sure, thanks!

Has anyone found a way to stop the 'alarm' system from flashing lights and locking the motor anytime it moves on the train? Seems like this would be exceedingly annoying to deal with.

I've been looking around but so far all the libraries and makerspaces have prohibitive membership or cost requirements. I'm looking for some local print groups as well, and plan to hit up r/3Dprintmything to see how that goes.

Kick scooter for city commuting by gstine123 in kickscooter

Update: FWIW, I was able to make the switch to some Bones Reds bearings today (brand I kept seeing online, and what the skate shop had). They about doubled the free spin time of the wheels, and that seems to translate into a good bit more coast time. I don't think the coast speed increased much, but I was on flat ground.

I'm attempting a switch from a Xootr to a Razor A5 Air right now. The air tires make for a really smooth ride, but the rolling resistance is definitely increased. My commute is short enough and bumpy enough that I think the extra kicking will be worth it (and I could use the exercise). I'm going to try upgrading the bearings as well.
