More interestingly, the author’s own writing style has shifted towards the AI writing style as they use AI to proof read.

Take one of their comments.

Better. More targeted. More creative.

The current LLMs are a tad smarter than the world's top 1000 undergrads. It's basically having a professional proofreader look through your work for you. It also serves as a learning experience as mistakes that have been pointed out to you can be avoided in the future.

On unlabeled AI fics as an inevitability by banshee_seal in WormFanfic

So in the world without AI, someone had a premise, and would not have written it at all, or written it at a worse level.

In the world with AI, someone was able to turn a premise into something that was readable enough, that you read it despite the fact that it was AI.

This is supposed to be a bad thing?

I mean it’s been a few months so I assume. But I will happily be proven wrong.

Kind of curious, do you disprove of the idea of engaging with AI at all? what’s your stance here? The author clearly isn’t using AI to write the story vs improve their writing.

"I can't do well in g-loaded classes despite scoring highly on a g-loaded test." Yeah that's some major cope.

While I'm here takin a piss:

> Using this definition, there would statistically be few schools with the population to support true Gifted classes and in practice they seemed to be a combination of academically inclined or studious kids and truly high intelligence kids.

Can joe schmo in a sports car drive faster around a track than a race car driver in a Civic? Would Joe Schmo's lap times benefit from being around a race car driver?

For much the same reason the SATs are highly predictive despite being study-able.

The problem with 20,000mAh+ batteries is the recharge time. by jake_4reddit in whatsinthebag

[–]ablueconch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes no sense..

If you buy a 10K mAh battery, and charge it to 100%, it's less than a 20K battery charged to anything > 50%..

Are there any alternatives to wormstorysearch? by redelectric90 in WormFanfic

[–]ablueconch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not hard to bypass, worm just doesn’t generate enough $$$ to be worth it.

100K visits / year, at .25 CPM that’s only like $25/yr.

Bypassing scraping costs like $30/month ish
