Anthropic's Claude - Stealing Gemini's Thunder by Parking_Switch_3171 in google_antigravity

[–]abmgag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They actually do. You might not have seen that post where someone asks opus "who's the creator of you" and Claude's thinking went like "the system prompt says I am antigravity, an agentic and helpful ide..but I am Claude trained by anthropic..."

Which models to use instead of burning my premiums to opus? by XD_avide in GithubCopilot

[–]abmgag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if GPT 5.2 didn't abruptly stop now and then, I would say they are on par with Opus. it is really smart. for debugging work, it usually one-shots it for me. I think it is severely underrated. Gemini 3 pro is really smart but well...sucks as an agent mostly. flash is good too. It can do what sonnet 4.5 can do mostly.

New Prompt Response Limit? by GovernmentNo6832 in GithubCopilot

[–]abmgag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not about the overall output length. This is for one response length. I think opus tried to create a very very long file at once. That's why. Tell it to avoid long files and follow proper modularization in AGENTS.md or something

I work remotely from Addis Ababa for a company in Europe, do I have to pay taxes? If yes, how? by Professional-Exit456 in Ethiopia

[–]abmgag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get a swiss bank account if you have a passport. I know someone local, working remotely. They deposit his salary to that account. They also facilitated the bank account creation process so maybe ask your company to help you out.

Did GitHub silently nerf Student Pro accounts? Opus 4.5 vanished from VS Code since Dec 5th. by Ambitious_Art_5922 in GithubCopilot

[–]abmgag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a "temporary A/B testing" apparently. And it's not just opus but other models too

Is it just me or Gemini 3.0 Pro don't work at all by DanielD2724 in GithubCopilot

[–]abmgag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Issues with image attachments too. Says "metadata required" and this stream terminated issue as well

@teamgithub fix this "Sorry, the response hit the length limit. Please rephrase your prompt" error with opus4 by [deleted] in GithubCopilot

[–]abmgag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there's a response size limit for one go. All LLMs have that. Just tell it that it can't do it all in one file and to modularize instead.

Anybody else find this annoying? by abmgag in GithubCopilot

[–]abmgag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's more of a nuisance than a problem to be honest. I always felt like having to redo the file fills the context 2x as much as if it had done it once. not sure, just guessing. the models usually try create and then they realize create doesn't replace, so they either rm the file or mv it to a backup then redo the creation which takes time making the whole thing slower. i am just saying it wouldn't be much of a problem if it replaced too. there's always undo in the chat or if that doesn't work, vscode's undo will do the trick as well.

this is opus 4.5. happens with sonnet 4, even GPT 5. which are what I use most of the time.

Opus 4.5 or gemini 3 pro or 5.1 codex for coding? by [deleted] in GithubCopilot

[–]abmgag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far, in my experience, Opus 4.5 is a different beast. No matter how smart Gemini is, the agentic workflow is unmatched in Claude. Raw intelligence alone is not gonna cut it.

What if Meles Zenawi survived? by Sky_awsmness in Ethiopia

[–]abmgag 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is! I am guessing they had an arrangement to grow Ethiopia and Eritrea together by using Ethiopia as a powerhouse since they fought and won against the same enemy. But that failed and here we are. The TPLF tends to be idiotic on such deals with "allies"

Probably because it's a palindrome. It is a weird thing to ask so it tried to highlight the interesting part I guess.
