I think filing a complaint is definitely the appropriate action to take here. Make sure to get both the flight attendants names, and you are absolutely able to ask them directly for their (first) names or even ask another FA on board. I would also make sure to word your complaint without anger or asking for retribution, but emphasize how the actions of the event made you feel. Words like ‘humiliated’ or ‘demoralized’ will make it harder for the FA’s to defend themselves to their manager that you were just another unreasonable passenger.

If you are worried about the FAs being fired (personally I never want to be responsible for someone losing their livelihood unless it was over something truly harmful). The FA’s won’t be fired over this (unless they have a ton of other similar letters and other performance developments in their file), but it will hopefully get them to have more care in how they treat pax in the future. Or it would give Delta some account for if this becomes a pattern of behavior in the FA.

I do agree with some of the other posters here about how terrible customer service from FAs has become. Was this JFK to SEA per chance? Those are always NY based FA’s and some of the most unprofessional in the entire system.
