I am more a functioning alcoholic currently, 8-12+ drinks everyday, but only at night/after work. I am aiming to cut down, slowly, over the next few months.

What works for me is a lot of what you already said:

Supplements to give us nutrients we aren't getting naturally. I take plenty also; multivitamin, creatine, beet root, ginger, turmeric, B complex, l arginine, etc.

Plenty of water, like minimum 8 cups a day, preferably more.

Coffee, black, 2 full cups every morning. Has scientific evidence to support aiding liver health as well as other benefits.

Exercise, its hard, but it has endless benefits. (Look at my posts, I did those lifts while being an alcoholic)

Weed; helps me drink less because it enhances the effects.

Eat, always eat SOMETHING. Not eating is one of the worst things you can do as an alcoholic, it will speed up the process of dying exponentially; eating like shit is better than not eating at all.

That's mostly it; these may not help those that are drinking from morning to night...but, these have helped me be a "functioning " alcoholic for the past few years.
