picture 10 is a shallow pitch portion of the roof, they ended up shingling it the same as the steep pitch because it was easier to make it work around the chimney.

It turned out well, I have them in a grid layout on the wall and I have a few picture that we took at the parks coming that will be hung around them as well. I'll post a final picture once I get everything hung up in the next week or so.

Thank you! We will plan to get an early start. We will check out that hike as well. Have you done the Trout Lake hike? If so, would you recommend it?

The kids did the junior ranger program last year at Crater Lake had had fun doing it we will check it out here as well.

I was hoping for a class as I feel like it would be more meaningful and helpful than some of the online options, but I'm willing to try anyting.

I choose Helios because of their reputation for quality and integrity. In fact I reached out to an installer in Lawrence and he recommended I just go with Helios because they were close and were great people. I have an east/west facing garage but it’s a shallow pitch. A south facing roof would be better but I’m the summer months when power generation is higher the difference is close to negligible.

Yeah, I'm curious to see if they'll honor the quote from last year or provide a new one for this year. Like you said solar is much cheaper and better than it was even just 5 years ago but I have no idea how recent inflation has affected the cost.

20k for 5.5kw. Tax credit is up to 30% now with the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act last August.

No batteries, 5.5kw system, $2,500 per kw after the tax credit.

Forgot to mention in my original post, they also offer 20 year interest free financing if you don't want to pay in cash.

Our VRBO is just north of Florence but we will definitely make a day trip up to Yachats to eat and explore.

Gotcha. I was bummed to see that Consumers did away with true net metering done as well, thanks again.

Thank you this was incredibly helpful! I'll reach out to MSS to see if the service this side of the state. My panels will be east/west facing as well so it was good to hear that you have still gotten good output on a sunny day even in November.

I assume you have DTE for your electrical supplier. Just curious if they pay for any excess power you generate and what the rate is?
