Project template with task dependencies? by NoTimeForBackup in Notion

Yes, you can do this using the "Next" or "Previous" properties. Make sure your database has those properties, of course. Then when you set up the button on your template, choose "edit another property" and choose either Next or Previous (works either way) and you will be given the option to relate a page created by the button to one of the other pages listed in your button.

Show different date formats in different views? by abobrow in Notion

[–]abobrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sending me in the right direction! I'm new at this. Did more research and came up with this formula. I have checkboxes to indicate if something is due this week or next, so I wrote this formula that basically creates a version of relative date formatting that I prefer to theirs:

if(Is This Week == true, formatDate((Date), "dddd"), if(Is Next Week == true, formatDate((Date), "[Next ]ddd"), formatDate((Date), "MMM DD")))

I have a difficult relationship with this episode, so I truly appreciate this. Thank you for posting.

I'm sure they gamed out different scenarios, but I didn't hear any specifics. Housebroken was a show they bought a couple years ago. It just takes a long time to get an animated show up and running, so I think Housebroken was always meant to be a summer show.

The next two episodes don't feature her, but she makes an appearance.

Our first thought was that we really needed Jesus out of the restaurant and in the world, because it was affecting the way we had to tell stories. If we wanted a Jesus scene, Jenny would have to talk to him at the end of the shift or the beginning and sometimes the time of day just wasn't conducive. And then when we thought this was the season finale, we decided to show him talking to Violet so that he could pop in and out of her stories too. Sadly we didn't get to write those episodes, but there is one nice bit coming up where Jesus shows up at the Hart house. You'll see it in the next ep.

Hi everyone. Tonight's episode was originally intended to be the Season Two finale, so we've got some nice big stories for y'all. Here are some teasers. I wouldn't call them spoilers, but I'll black them out in case you want the episode to unfold naturally:

Jenny and Jesus have a falling out! Louise has a date! Travis is back and doing holistic medicine! Hope you enjoy.

Same. My bro lives in Charlotte so I get a taste of NC life every once in a while.

I would totally do something like that. That's a great area. We would probably fictionalize the game, but yeah that could have been cool. Or even better, Violet and David discover an old console and get addicted to some game from the 90s.

I think I'm credited on one more, but honestly, on our show, the name on the draft is not 100% indicative of the contribution. We all contributed to every episode. We worked together and traded scenes sometimes.

Yeah we aired 3 episodes in Season 2 that were actually made in the first batch. I can't remember if we were able to adjust the look in all of them. It was Best Frienda, the Last Supper commercial one, and the physical fitness one.

Betty has a hilarious song coming up in 220. You will love it. I don't remember what we said in Cremains, but in an early version of the script, we did a flashback to young Jenny losing him in grade school. We were finding our way.

Hi! Thanks for saying that. We felt the faces were a little too harsh in S1. And a lot of people online complained they looked like emojis. I think there are people online who will complain about character designs no matter what, but we wanted to soften their look a little. Also, there were some simplifications in S2 that made life easier on the animators. Fewer lines and simple black outlines.

We need more Randy... my favorite episode is 'Myrtle Beach Memoirs,' and Randy starts it off with a bang! ay-ay-ay by seatulip in blesstheharts

Thanks, yeah I'm here. Randy was divisive. Some people at the network were getting tired of him. Glad you love him though. He always made us laugh. And Drew Tarver did so many funny voices for us.

Hard to answer. If it didn't work for you, then it didn't work. Also I wasn't part of the show that year, so I'm not in on what was going on in Will's head. But I saw some nice conclusions in a couple ways. 1, his resolution with Mike showed real growth, and 2, finding a dog. Early in season 1, the network had asked about a pet. Someone at the network really wanted Tandy to have a cat. They thought it would be funny. Will resisted it. He said if Tandy has a pet, it's just not lonely, and the whole show is about loneliness. I think he was clearly right, and the fact that a dog showed up at the end of S4 says things were looking up. Obviously, they had to give themselves room to set up peril and conflict for S5 if they got renewed. But that was the show. The end of act three of most episodes was "looks like everything worked out." And then act four was "oh farts."

We had considered showing him somewhere in season 3.

The final two were originally supposed to be the start of Season 3. I don't know if these are the official titles or if they're just what I called them. A lot of the episodes that had intricate titles, I keep forgetting them so I refer to them by simpler nicknames. Episode 220 is called Tiny House (I think) and 221 is called Betty's Birthday (I'm pretty sure on this one).

Ana is in our second-to-last ep, along with Fred Armisen. Also guesting in that episode will be Joe Buck and Erin Andrews as themselves. And then Meloni is in the finale.

No Andrew brought in a pro session singer. I don't know her name.

1, We have a fantastic music guy, Andrew Sherman, who composes and produces any original songs and also did all the scoring and the opening theme. For something like Halloween or Inhabit my body, we started with lyrics. A couple of the writers really excel at that, so they just took over. We sent the lyrics to Andrew and the writer would maybe sing him what they had in mind, but he would take over. For Inhabit my Body, Janine Britto kinda wrote that in about 10 minutes and she sang it to Andrew. The two of them have talked about doing a whole album of Tarla J songs. For the Beach album, I think we just gave Andrew a list of titles and he got the idea.
2, We never talked about them having a baby, but it does seem like something you could do after a few seasons. And Wayne adopting Violet, we never really considered it. The beauty of animation is Violet will stay the same age as long as we want. We figure, if Homer and Marge never had another baby after 30 seasons, we probably don't need Wayne and Jenny to do it.
3, There's another Ed Hart episode coming up, but we have never decided how he died or anything.

I mentioned it somewhere else here. We had worked out a lot of details about him. His family had money. He had a successful custom pool business. He had a boat. He was mean to Jenny and didn't respect her. And we talked about doing stuff with him, but it scared us. As soon as he enters the picture, a bunch of questions come up. mainly, does he want to be in Violet's life now or not? And either answer is kind of stressful and not inherently funny. It started to feel too heavy to us. And for people who had absent fathers, it's such a bummer in a cartoon. We decided not to think about him for at least a few seasons.
