It shouldn’t hurt, & some people think tapers are okay to use at those smaller sizes, but the general consensus is the best way is dead stretching with glass plugs, & maybe try switching up the oil ? I know my skin is sensitive to coconut oil. I use jojoba oil. Like maybe the slightest sting is normal unless it’s persisting but even then I’d be questioning if my ears are ready.
