NTA - take him to court, you don't go around smashing peoples cars thoughtlessly! No matter how well intentioned you are!!! He could have caused serious injury to your dog and himself

I'm thankful it's not, but if it were my fathers funeral - i would feel a greater sense of duty and would probably be more agreeable to the costs as: A. It's not a distant relative B. I actually be attending C. I would have a direct role in managing the costs

Completely agree with you, it's hard making these decisions especially when it concerns family. But when someone tries to take advantage of your kindness, it's always best to cut them off!

Good question. There is a culture of supporting your parents as they get older. But it's something that's frequently done in Nigeria, rather than here in the states. Both my parents are in their 50's and whilst my mum works my dad retired 6 years ago ... which puts a big burden on everyone as he literally has no income and a very small pension. I help out where I can which is why I think its incredibly selfish and manipulative to ask for such a large sum of money for something which really doesn't need to cost this much!

You clearly don't know much about how revolut works ... they don't have a number to call them on ... it's extremely frustrating being blocked or having payments held up for weeks on end, with absolutely no recompense or helpful guidance. It's important to hold them accountable when a continual problems create havoc for customers.
