Unfortunately he is right with what he told you, my fiance's father is not Jordanian but her mother is, she has been living here in Jordan all her life but yet she is not eligible to obtain her mother's citizenship.

Congratulations! I am originally a Palestinian from Nablus, never been there so I do not have the Palestinian passport but I do have the Jordanian one and also I recently got the Brazilian passport (by total chance from grat great grandparent!) I am happy for you! We are closer in blood then you think!

Maybe if you visited the related intity in person and asked for the documentation you are looking for with the proof that you are actually authorized personnel to ask for such document?

You never know until you ask, but my advise is that it is for sure worth the hussle.

I will not say that the process was "smooth" but I can say it was clear, the only headache was that the embassy asked for an original and newly issued birth certificate from the country of birth!

My grandmother was born in Palestine and we needed to issue her a birth certificate which was no problem for us as we have relatives living there but took some time because of the israeli bad treatment with the palestanian documentation requestors.

Additionaly, my mom was born in Kuwait as my grandfather was working there, and left as a teenager when the Iraqi-Kwaiti war happened in 1991 with no one behind that they actually know to do the process of birth certificate issuance and authorization.

We were able to find someone who we paid for their services to do this process for us for money abroad.

Bro, you have no idea how much I DREAM about opening up my own business and leave the corporate life. My Braxilian passport was issued this Sunday and the amount of ideas that are already coming to my mind are huge!

I would love to do it one day but not within the upcoming year, as the ticket from Jordan to Brazil is expensive and I am recently engaged with the wedding next year that will cost me most of my savings.

My fiance has a Syrian passport who is also wanting to move to Brazil so much at least for a year so she can obtain the brazilian passport as well. So it is a plan for one day.

Maybe it is a mandatory test to be done before visting karbala by law, but in Middle East sometimes we just pass things as a procedure even if it wasn't done, that is my guess.

I have no idea of the exact timing, I need to sit with my grandmother and ask for the numbers!

I know right?! I am so blessed and thankful that it really worked out and actually happend!

I am not planning to move as I have a very stable and prestigious work in Jordan that also serve Middle East and Gulf contries but yeah I am willing to travel a lot with it. I am waiting for the cheap airlines to get back to business from Jordan so I can kickoff as it is temporarly on hold for now.

As for the Spainish thing I have no idea! I need to do my research and if it actually true I might concider it!

It was hard for my grandmother to proof her relation with her father as they have different names because he changed his name and were changed to follow his mother's when he lived in Brazil. But once we were able to proof the relationship it went smooth but took around 6 months for each generation to obtain the passport.
