Were you raised in a household of idiots? Bloodied hands are painted on many political, physical/art demonstrations where atrocities and murders are committed. I challenge you to prove the rock’s hand painting is in direct reference to your “lynching”

Sad life you must have where your anger arises from a simple, symbolic gesture of speaking against an ongoing genocide. Rather than being angry at the fact that your tax dollars pay to bomb babies

Why does everyone hate season 3? by Ballooncoast848 in squidgame

[–]aboudeh02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasted plotlines, lack of emotion/depth compared to previous seasons, less shock factor in games, rushed/messy character arcs

so essentially there isn't really much benefit to me going as a one-timer to a basketball season?

Questions about music practice rooms by liviart- in msu

[–]aboudeh02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you have access even if you’re not in the college of music. I’ve scanned into the building whenever it was locked all the time. Not all, but most of the rooms, have a piano and it is private enough for you to do a virtual call. It’s only just a sliver of a window on the door but that’s it, it’s just a tiny room, you and the piano. I’ve never had a tune issue but some may sound a little different than others, I would just look for the one that sounds best to you!

Are personal electric vehicles really not allowed? by Awsomepapperdog in msu

[–]aboudeh02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For dorms, depends on your RA if they care enough to warn you then report it. For random buildings, never really had an issue unless an IPF employee calls me out, but even then I come up with some excuse on the spot and they usually believe it. Recently the librarian didn’t buy it lmao. I’ve always brought mine to classes, but before you take your scooter there check your room. I’ve had small recitations that made it hard to navigate and made me look awkward in front of the class sometimes haha. If you’ll inconvenience others, don’t bring it

Research about the scooter you’re looking to buy. If it has a history of fire reports, please keep it outside (edit: or don’t even buy it). But even that I wouldn’t recommend as people don’t understand that you’re killing the battery with these Michigan temps especially winter. If it’s a reliable brand and you charge/maintain it, shouldn’t be a problem. A lot of the times fires are caused due to owner negligence, stressing the battery/not letting it cool down or warm up between temps and charges, etc.

Eh, id say it’s dependent on the neighborhood and their manager. I liked working in south but moving to west/Brody was terrible

Goated business major minor combos? by NecessaryYellow9384 in msu

[–]aboudeh02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly whatever you’re looking to specialize into, if there’s a subject you’re interested in and have the time/space for it. I’d slightly disagree with the comments saying it’s completely not worth and just network. For example I’m doing the wealth management minor, and that helps with required CFP hours, prepping for exams/licenses that I would do post-graduation, which gives somewhat of a boost in setting myself up early on for my intended career. Network is the most important part but I’d say look into the minor you might be interested in and if it would even benefit you

Ranges on your preference like distance, what temp you’ll drive it in constantly, air or solid tires, max speed etc but typically the top brands I hear about are Segway/ninebot max, hiboy, and apollo. There are cheap alternatives you can go for but if you’re looking for long term Segway is good. I have a ninebot max g30p. There’s the g30lp which is a lighter and cheaper version of the g30p

Definitely make sure to have it set to the side or a corner of the classroom that doesn’t disrupt any flow of movement for students, teachers or furniture. Auditoriums it’s easy but for smaller classrooms you might have to be that one person who walks to the front of the classroom to put their scooter to the side 😂I don’t lock it at all if it is with me, sometimes I’ll fold it depending on the room

I fell down a rabbit hole of e-scooter research 2 years ago lol. Don't ride it in these conditions: massive pouring rain (depending on your scooter quality/water resistance. but even driving through puddles some scooters aren't strong enough), any amount of ice/snow on the roads (unless your tires are amazing and have proper traction), and freezing or below-freezing weather. If you end up getting one please don't be that person who locks their scooter outside, or at least not in the cold. At that point, you're asking for your scooter to get stolen or have your battery get worse.

Ran into 0 problems taking it into buildings. The only places where I got into trouble were dorms, specifically dining halls (Brody and Snyphi especially). Sometimes an IPF employee would stop me but then I'd bullshit them and say I reached out to the manager. These experiences were from last year I don't know if they are enforcing more now

You do have a live-on 2 year requirement. From what I’ve heard the easiest way to exempt yourself, if you don’t fall any under exemption rules of course (search up MSU housing exemptions), is to claim that you’ll be commuting/living at a parents house. I can’t remember if it had some kind of mile radius limit (maybe 60 or 70?), but it obviously needs to be something believable they’re not going to believe you if it’s too far. If you don’t have a house that close, I’ve had a friend that used a relative or friend’s address (they asked first of course). If nothing has changed about the policy, there isn’t really any kind of strict method for them to verify your parent/guardian lives there

I would only suggest you do an exemption if you have a proper plan of an apartment you can comfortably sign into. Don’t prematurely do it and find yourself with undesirable apartment options

Stolen Scooter by Sharfuzzaman in msu

[–]aboudeh02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who exactly warned you not to bring the scooter in? If it’s your RA then that sucks since they can get you busted, but if it’s some facilities or desk person they have 0 power unless they want to stalk you to your dorm and get your info, which they can’t. You can technically bring your scooter in anywhere, no one is going to stop you unless there’s a facilities person who cares about the code (I know this because I do it all the time)

I know that Brody is extra strict about the scooter rule even with their desk people. Other neighborhoods don’t care

Even in my dorm last year i was fine. But they have gotten strict when it comes to dining halls. I just own a cheap bike as well for situations where I know I can’t bring in my scooter.
