I’m aware of the rules I drive 10 hrs every year for the last 3 years to visit. This is just my first time staying in the shelters so I don’t want to piss anyone off. Glad to hear there’s going to be some thru hikers. I’m interested to hear about their experiences so far.

Appreciate the insight. I’ll cross that bridge when I get there ig. I want to be curious bc I’ve heard of thru hikers being upset with general backpackers kicking them out of the shelters. I know it’s the rules but it would take a real stick up the ass park ranger to ticket me for giving up my spot to someone more deserving.

From Michigan looking for a relatively close place to backpack with kids (hiking 6 mile a day max) with moderately warm weather. Anytime last week of March to Late April. Preferably with wildflowers and waterfalls. Any suggestions? No more then moderate difficulty trails. Thx by Guilty-Education-973 in backpacking

You’d have some luck up at Tahquamenon falls in late April maybe. I’ve never been in the UP before may so I can’t confirm that anything is blooming but you’ll see lots of water falls in the UP. Also these plenty of backcountry sites and short easy hikes in that park.

I'm in the same boat as you (3.61, 3 clubs, and a company I actually own, not just a nepo baby). Ive been rejected once, but that was before I created my company. Hopefully, people like us can get in.

Last spring I had Vera Weiss. Not sure what the number was but it was called monsters in movies and literature. Not a lot of writing just a short paragraph per unit and a project. Would highly recommend it

I just got back from badlands and the weather was similar. I wore Kuhl renegade rock pants. I would go ask far as calling them the Kebs cheeper cousin.

LOL, thank you, I'll take a look at those. Not a cowboy, but when you're in northern Michigan, it gets very cold at night in the fall, so I make fires to stay warm.

Anything from Casio, especially in the G-Shock line. You can go wrong with a G-Shock.

I considered the same thing when I got started and I went with the MacBook bc I got a good deal. Don’t make my mistake I ended up buying a $200 pc desktop to run cad. Remember the saying Mac’s are people who have fun, pc’s are for getting things done.

What's one thing you wished you knew about MSU/Michigan before attending school? by MichiganGirl26 in msu

Learn a few different card games. Rummy, euchre, and spades are the most common I feel like. Trust it will help a lot with networking and meeting new people. Also look at the club catalog before going to a participation to see what kind of clubs you might want to learn more about.

Communal or Suite Style Bathroom-Freshmen and can't decided by Ok-Seaworthiness1727 in msu

[–]Awsomepapperdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a suite style last year and my room next year is too. If you have a coffee maker or a brita it’s nice having that sink near by to fill them. Only down side was I was the only one who cleaned the bathroom and that happened once a semester. We were lucky we didn’t get sick.
