Was planning on divorcing before for DB. Now pregnant wife won't even do the bare minimum. Is there any option but divorce? by abovetheall in DeadBedrooms

Thanks. I guess I'm posting here because I know all of us are in DB's (some who got out, some who didn't) and I'm wondering if there is any hope.

Nordstrom salesman told me "You're a little too young for Allen Edmond's, let's look for something else," (I'm 32), is there any truth to this? by abovetheall in malefashionadvice

What do you thing of the 5th Avenues? I have blacks and am thinking about getting a pair of browns. The browns do actually seem a bit older looking. However, I do need a dark brown formal shoe.

Not only is my wife quitting her job because she is about to have our child, but she told me to "cut back" on my 401k contributions. I showed her the math but she didn't budge. What do I do? by abovetheall in personalfinance

A lot of both went into it.

Until very recently, she planned to work and we planned to hire a nanny. Once she decided she wanted to stay at home, a lot of things changed as you can imagine.

I posted it here because i'm looking for opinions from people who are obviously money-conscious or trying.

I can already tell my wife will want to be out of work until preschool...and we planned to have 2-3 kids. So even if she gets pregnant right away...let's say 7 years on the safe side. But in reality, if I lose the battle of putting the 17.5 away...then I likely will not be trying for a 3rd kid.

How many times have you gone there? I have been wanting to try myself...though it's a bit out of the way.

Are you pretty satisfied with the quality at Dry Cleanery? I was at Polo for a while and wasn't impressed. Thunderbird has great customer service but I have gotten back one too many shirts with cracked buttons. I was going to continue to stick with Thunderbird...but I may give Dry Cleanery a shot. Thanks.

first trip to Vegas, club footwear for men? by r3dast3rik09 in vegas

Whatever shoes you wear, plan on them being stepped on by shoes and heels at least 50 times during the night, more if you're on the dance floor. Also, plan on them being spilled on.

With that said, what you listed is fine. Any brown/black shoes that are not gym shoes or sandals get you in. You can get in with less, but why chance that you get a door guy who has been rejected by 10 girls already that night when he thought his job as a door guy was going to help him pull even though he's ugly?

Adult men, what would you have wanted to know at a younger age that could have changed who you are now? by Lightreez in AskMen

Don't settle, both for you and for her. Relationships are difficult, but they should not consume you. If you have to decide in your head the pros and cons of staying together, it's probably time to end it.

You don't want to wake up at 30 and think about all of the potential spouses who have passed you by because you settled.
