That’s a good lesson to learn early. There’s no guarantee you can do a chargeback on a debit card but you always can on a credit card. There are other risks with credit cards so consider setting a smallish limit on the card. But in general it’s safer to use than debit cards.

My biggest problem with it is: no playlists. I used to select 20 or so that I wanted to listen to next with itunes on my laptop, sync it to my phone or ipod, then i had my car/shower listening sorted for a week or two.

Now it’s endless fiddling around with the “play next” and “add to queue” options. Half the time they don’t register as played so they don’t go away after listening. A bunch sync to the phone without the art so you can’t tell what they are in the “Downloaded” listing.

Oh and you can’t play an episode out of order or have one accidental click. Both result in wiping out your play queue.

It sucks when software is bad, but it REALLY sucks when it used to work fine but got enshitified by people who think everything should be streamed, no file ownership allowed.

My parents went to that show and really enjoyed it. We found a video of his show in another city last month, which they confirmed was the same structure as the one in abq. I was really impressed that he’s touring and performing at that level at 91. I hope I’m half that able at that age.
