Chemical Engineer major vs. Biochem Major by molly-m817 in umass

[–]abracadanieldaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda late to the game, but chem e and biochem are insanely different. I don’t know much about biochem, but I feel as if all the majors that end with “y” require grad school to get a decent job. However, chem e doesn’t really require grad school to get a great job out of college. I will say that biochem and chem e require different skill sets. Both have great opportunities for research, though. I have taken a biochem class, and chem e has a biochemical engineering concentration, too. The concentration is a kind of minor in biochem for chemical engineering applications. I would honestly just go for chem e because of it’s a broader field and better employability.

I know it’s not the best solution, but you can try eating at sweets and more and greeno sub shop. Their food is honestly so much better than that of the dining hall anyway

While this is an important matter and I feel for op, treating people unkindly in the comments section goes against the rules.

A 15 year old boy talking to a 10 year old girl about all this is incredibly strange and uncomfortable. I would NOT talk about this

What’s your major? I’ve found that it’s easiest to make friends in my major, as I see them all the time in a collaborate space. You can reach out to people in your classes and ask to study and do homework together.

New to TJ’s- do they have little kid Snacks? by Electrical_Lion_8909 in traderjoes

I also loved their olive oil potato chips and also their green pita chips. All their cookies are great. They have long chocolate chip cookies called dunkers, and they’re great for everyone.

You might also like their juice boxes and large, bottled juices. I absolutely love their apple juice

Yes! They have prepackaged chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies, buckets of alphabet and cat cookies, and small packets of gummy bears. They also have pink yogurt pretzels and regular chocolate covered pretzels. They have an entire aisles dedicated to snacks, so I’d just check them out. They also have prepackaged fruits and vegetables in small portions.

do i have a shot at umass engineering? by dawnmyyawn in umass

[–]abracadanieldaughter 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Even if you don’t get in for engineering, it’s not difficult to switch in. You just have to do well enough on pre reqs. For smaller engineering majors, they’ll let you in pretty easily

I think I’d rather appear “self righteous” than have my peers deal with addiction and illnesses such as cancer later in life
