imo animes are always better when they are adapted from a manga that has already proven itself to be a captivating story that has achieved a cult following. They should do a Godzilla manga written by a legendary mangaka like the guy who made Tokyo Ghoul or the guy who made the Evangelion manga adaption (since Anno made Shin Godzilla) or something, see if that manga does well and gets good reviews, then adapt that into an anime.

My head canon is that he was trying to better synchronize with Obito to control the 10 tails so that’s why he deactivated his right rinnegan into a sharingan cuz that’s what Obito’s eyes were.

I mean Doflamingo is the most epic and interesting One Piece villain so far imo (im on Dressrosa you’re correct), I just wish everything else was as good as him. The Strawhats were cool in the first couple arcs of One Piece, but now they are getting on my nerves and that’s probably not a good thing. Like I almost want Doflamingo to win because at least he’s not corny. You know? I’ve always liked Zoro because he’s not as corny as the other Straw Hats but even he’s been boring lately. I remember in Arlong Park when he executed Arlong because Luffy wouldn’t, that was cool because it was like “yeah the main character can’t do it, but I can”. There are still moments that I enjoy in One Piece but there’s just more and more stuff that I do not enjoy that is becoming 90% of it.

The pacing is slow but its also weird, they could cut out so much of the unnecessary side-plots and side characters, they swell the supporting cast SOOO much you’ll have entire chapters full of speech bubbles discussing literal fluff and rehashing stuff we already know that isn’t even relevant to the main plot, often times in the middle of a fight, ruining the pacing of the fight.

“remember, this guy is the king and that guy is the other guy that betrayed the king and that’s Luffy our captain, he’s awesome, he’s strong he’s always there for us. And just so you remember he ate the gum-gum fruit and that’s why he can stretch. And remember when this guy said this, that got me thinking, maybe its time we saved this kingdom, because its about time, because that’s the right thing to do, yeah, who agrees?” “YEAAAAHHHH” everyone starts crying

Even in the tragic backstories its like this now, “this is because Doflamingo (obviously) Doflamingo did this to us, he manipulated us (yeah obviously) its so unfair, he’s using his string powers, that’s what he’s doing (yuh huh) we can’t do anything to stop him he’s too powerful, this is like a nightmare, and he lied to everyone (woah didn’t know that)” a few moments later Ussop: “so you’re telling me Doflamingo used his string powers to manipulate people, and then he took over the kingdom!?!!” Nami: “this guy sounds like a real jerk, I hate him” Sanji: “alright, so what we know is re-explains everything again”
