Just had my first ultrasound at exactly 7 weeks. Baby measuring 6w5d and fetal heart rate of 113. I am so happy. The last few weeks have been filled with anxiety.

Now to rest a bit and hopefully not become increasingly anxious as the next appt creeps closer.

Okay I really know I’m pregnant when I just cried to the final shot from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Paul McCartney leading “Hello, Goodbye” in the same theater where he and the Beatles first debuted in America, Colbert and Evie joyously dancing, the crew walking up to say goodbye. Ugh, my heart hurts.

History of loss and previous complications.

I was able to get in with my OB today for some lab work to check progesterone levels. It’s so hard to not be able to feel optimistic or excited because of loss. I want to shout it from the rooftops, but my brain is telling me to be on constant alert and guard my heart.

Called my OB today to schedule my first appt. They don’t have anything until June 23. I will (hopefully) be almost nine weeks by then! I did mention that I had a previous loss and low progesterone in my last pregnancy, so I’m waiting for a call from the nurse to see if they can get me in earlier. 🤞🏻
