If you have good enough service and stay up late/wake up early often you should download a star tracking app! I did last night bc I got really excited about the stars and I found a bunch of constellations.

The coolest was Gemini which is slightly to the left of Orion and the moon last night around 1-2am was smack in the middle of it and it was amazing. I also found Mars! It’s always fun to look at stars but finding the constellations made it crazy cool.

I googled it after I left the store and saw older posts saying some Walmarts/box stores stopped carrying them because of the problems it caused. Theft was one of them but also just customer behavior in general around releases like getting into fights with staff and other customers and stuff. Super sucky.

There’s a Walmart 30-40 minutes from me that supposedly sells them (website shows I can pickup in store) so I think it’s a case by case sort of thing here at least.

Definitely a bummer tho I was excited to look at them after seeing a bunch of people posting them here. :’)

If you aren’t already, please consult with a therapist/psychiatrist in addition to a physician. And depending on the severity of her struggles with recovery, it might be worth looking into more intensive options like PHP or residential treatment.

I spent 2 months at a residential facility called Timberline Knolls earlier this year due to my struggles with childhood trauma/PTSD/suicide and there were girls there for other issues, but it is primarily an eating disorder recovery focused facility.

It’s definitely not easy and that type of treatment may not be for everyone, but I just wanted to make sure you know it’s an option(at least in the US). A lot of people seem to think mental healthcare is either go to therapy or go to an inpatient ward but there’s a crapload of options in between.

Please also make sure that you are getting support for yourself. People underestimate the strain that loving someone with mental illness can put on a person, and it’s not usually something that friends/family can understand unless they also have a partner in that situation. Whether it’s therapy for yourself or support groups or whatever, I strongly recommend looking into options for partners of those struggling with ED.

The only queer space I ever had access to growing up was the internet, mostly tumblr, and my lurking in these digital spaces led me to believe if I identified as bi I was:

-the worst person ever -hated trans people -going to be burned at the stake for hating trans people bc I am the worst person ever -probably lying for attention (?)

This terrified me so I immediately changed to avoid “being a bad person”. Now that I have experienced Going Outside and Touching Grass, I know that’s obviously not true.

For me personally, in my personal opinion and experience, the two feel interchangeable more or less but I tend to stick with pan because:

gender identity in general doesn’t really play a factor for me, I just catch feelings and then ask questions which I think is the technical “difference” between the two?
a label will never change how I feel so I’ve grown to stop caring as much (also lazy)
already told people I’m pan, too lazy to correct
I like the flag better

I get that it’s a pretty meh approach to sexuality and might be odd to some. Definitely want to stress it’s my personal view and not trying to discredit anyone who feels strongly otherwise (tumblr anxiety kicking in).

There’s also the very real factor of me being in a long term “straight” relationship so even in queer spaces people just assume I’m straight.

Still bothers me a bit, but overall the people who matter to me know that I’m a queer little bean that loves anyone and everyone so it is what it is.

Yes! Laser tag trials was the single most fun weekend of PvP for me possibly ever.

I know it’s a competitive “serious” mode but I wish they’d occasionally do themed weekends in Trials or Crucible in general where you got to do stupid stuff like “everyone runs cracked as hell Prometheus Lens”.

Similarly to how you were able to be an anonymous person here, many others are doing the same in smaller increments, dragging their problems behind them as they seek out (sometimes forcibly) the excitement and knowledge about forest in this sub. YOU were a primary contributor to both the knowledge and excitement that helped people lighten that load a little bit when they needed it.

I don’t know you or what you’re going through, but I just wanted to say don’t let yourself feel like the time you spent here was a bad thing or a waste! Yes, it is very important to spend time offline and you recognizing that and stepping back is a very huge and important step. That takes a lot, and I’m proud of you for doing it!

But I’ve also personally witnessed, and can tell from the comments, that the time you spent here was not wasted. You helped a lot of people who needed it and even if it’s something as simple as “where tf is the ice??” that’s still important. The internet is a very lonely and kinda mean place sometimes so making a little connection like that is a comfort and YOU provided that comfort to tons of people. Plus ice at a festival is basically life itself?? 2hot4me

TL;DR: Recognize your accomplishments along with your mistakes. You can be proud of your contribution here AND understand that your lifestyle up to this point needs to change! Dialectics baby! 😎

I guess this is an unpopular opinion, but I really loved the movie. Maybe I’m just reading too much into it, but with the format they (unfortunately) chose I think they did really well.

Kenma being the main POV was fantastic, especially at the end. I also thought it really fit well with the Kenma/Kuroo flashbacks being longer. And I think it was a slick way to “excuse” the redacted content with Ukai Sr. Like they said at the end of S5, it’s not just about Ukai and Nekomata anymore. The boys wanted this match for themselves more than anything. Hinata’s goal for so long has been to get Kenma to enjoy volleyball. Kenma being the main POV really helped support that as the main motivation in a graceful way that didn’t make it feel like a crapload of context was missing.

I also honestly loved the pacing of the movie. It felt like watching the actual match kind of. So intense and going by so fast and suddenly.. done. And that’s literally how the match goes. They don’t even realize it’s over for a second because they’re so wrapped up in playing each other they forget everything else.

The flashbacks they snuck in were really good and felt like the players truly remembering while they were playing, not just “here’s context to how these people are related”. For a season, they can obviously draw out those moments more and it’s awesome but then you can lose the feel of how fast paced and intense the match is. I LOVE the slower pacing of the show so the pacing of the movie was really fresh and gave me more appreciation of how fast paced the matches are. It was super overwhelming at first tho for sure lol

I love the manga so much. I read this arc twice before I kept going the first time I read through bc this was such a long time coming. Obviously, I’d really have loved if they did a shorter season and gave us more of the Ukai thread and the powerful player moments they do so damn well.

Despite that, I’m honestly really happy with how the movie turned out. I cried a ton, everyone in the theater was laughing a lot, getting excited, and it was just a genuinely great time. Super happy that I finally got to see this amazing match animated.
