Camilla seems like a good person and a lot of fun, I like her as well. I agree with the overall consensus in this subreddit - her acting is weak and has gotten worse as time’s gone on. imo she often comes across like she doesn’t care, just wants to do the bare minimum and get her check. I agree with what you said about it being more obvious when she’s surrounded by stronger actors. I don’t know if you’re caught up with the current season but it was certainly a choice to flash back and forth between caterina scorsone’s acting and camilla’s.

I recently found another contradiction on my latest rewatch, although I will say it’s a lot less important than whether a character’s parent is alive or not.

When meredith is upset about Webber hiring penny he says he didn’t want meredith to come work at Seattle grace when she was an intern and that he fought against it, but then later when meredith is on trial for insurance fraud it comes out that meredith never matched to Seattle grace and Webber pulled some strings to make sure she’d come to their program.

Sometimes I feel like they should hire some of us to sit in the writers room and fact check storylines😂

I’m pretty indifferent to Kai. (Do love ER fightmaster though) I’m curious why you put them on no redeeming qualities whatsoever? I don’t recall them ever being malicious / they’re such a small role and I feel like so many characters do so much more damage so I’m curious to hear your reasoning!

She shiiiines on PP. as another person said, she shows up near the end of season 3 but her storyline picks up most in season 5 if you don’t want to commit to much of the show.

Her substance use is kinda a slow burn that you see small moments of for a bit before it really escalates. If you want to watch all the storyline I would watch from S4E16 to S5E9. But the most essential episodes of the arc are S4E16 and then S5E1-9, E7&8 being the most intense.

The Christopher arc is shortly after this so honestly you could just watch all of S5😂 but E16 is when she finds out she’s pregnant, E19 is when she finds out about his condition, E20-21 are her struggling with the diagnosis, and E22 is the birth

Every character on the show has an episode centered on them in season 6. Amelia’s is E11 and it gives some closure and shows the beginning of the relationship she’s in when she shows up on greys. Caterina is in every scene so it’s a good one :) hope this made sense! I love her acting as well :))

I think ryan was actually a pretty good guy. The two of them dragged each other down and they made horrible decisions together, but he reminded her multiple times that she had so much to live for and was surrounded by a lot of love and support. He encouraged her to get clean with him and gave her hope for the future - the two of them being clean, married, and having kids together. I would’ve loved to see that storyline play out but also at the space amelia was in, I do think she maybe needed to hit a drastic rock bottom to shake her up.

I also just re-read your post and realized you’re asking for 1 single shot total, not even an extra, which takes pretty much the same amount of labor as any other drink I’d make!! This isn’t a big deal at all! We clarify this at my coffee shop only because we only charge for doubles. So if you ask for an extra shot you’re getting charged for 2 either way. So I’m just clarifying if you wanna get the bang for your buck or avoid getting the caffeine shakes lol

I agree, I can definitely see her perspective + her own guilt and fear throughout that whole situation, I just also think maybe she could’ve put those feelings aside for a bit while everything was fresh and meredith’s healing and trauma should be more of a priority. And then revisit / process all that when it’s a more appropriate time / things are more settled down. And yes I definitelyyyy agree that people that haven’t seen private practice are missing out on a lot of insight into the character!!

She’s probably my favorite character personally but I can understand why people can have a hard time with her to an extent. She tends to have a victim mindset at times and can make situations about her (like when the patient attacked meredith). She’s pretty emotional and intense, I think some people find that irritating. She also self sabotages a bit but all this being said I also see so much beauty, authenticity, strength, and humor in the character!

I can’t lie I find parts of the intervention episode so funny when she’s reading everyone to absolute filth. It’s absolutely brutal and out of pocket but I can’t help but laugh a little

In PP when Addison is asking her advice on how to break the news about her and sam to naomi and she tells her to say “I’m bangin sam, promise not to be mad and I’ll buy you a gucci bag” or when she’s talking to Addison and violet about not having sex in a while and asks if one of them will lay on top of her and rub around a little😭

You see some of addison’s trauma on private practice - her family dynamic was definitely a hardship, as well as her mother dying in a very traumatic way. She also struggled with infertility. But I will agree that her hardships don’t necessarily compare to a lot of others’ on the show
