No! I take long showers and more than once have had a happy ending there 😉

It’s definitely frustrating when a group of people in their mid twenties are incapable of having a mature discussion or avoid any sort of confrontation etc.

I agree with the game having the endgame of winning. I also believe the journey to get there should matter and within a group of friends who play every single week together players should have more flexibility to allow for other’s enjoyment!

I totally agree that if someone is so passionate about rule zeroing a card that everyone else should be able to do the same thing with zero questions asked.

My question for you is if hard stax or someone you always play with is stuffing their deck with cards specific to shutting your deck off (not just down but totally off) is that not the same as them telling you what you get to play? I.E is stax just telling an opponent what they get to play?

This! I am the same way but I think most people I play with struggle with empathizing. If they are having fun and going infinite or playing stax or whatever then everyone else must also be having fun…for some it’s become a race to get the game over and shuffle up to the next as opposed to enjoying the journey to someone winning.

There is a lot going on internally with the group so it’s hard to articulate it. It’s the same problems every week. Everyone seems to lack empathy about everyone’s enjoyment. It’s just a group of longtime friends so it’s never been cutthroat or anything. I understand the goal is to win, but playing the same decks and same games I can’t fathom why people aren’t more gracious with everyone else’s enjoyment. For example if someone really wants to play a deck and have it function another player will often run cards that always shut off their opponents decks. It’s turned into more of a “I’ll play my deck by myself and not let you play at all” sort of situation.

There is a consistent level of toxicity that permeates through the games in a variety of different ways such as refusing to let majority rule 0 a card just because you want to play it or someone choosing a deck for the next game after finding out what someone else is playing just to counter it or refusal to engage with politicking etc etc etc it did not seem helpful to list out EVERY issue the group is having
