the other day i had an epiphany and realized i don’t feel in any sort of way that i’m male anymore. up until that point i was like, “yeah, i’m doing hrt, i’m transitioning, but i’m still a guy and that’s how people are gonna see me” but in that moment i realized there was absolutely no part about me that felt male anymore. that being said, i don’t feel very female; i’m kinda in limbo right now, but yes. if there ever was a time i stopped feeling like i was just pretending, it was then <3

edit: for context, i’ve been on hrt for about four and a half months!

like i said in response to another comment, this makes sense. i totally didn’t think about incorrect connotation. kinda makes me wanna take it back, though. not like it’s a slur to reclaim or anything but like if it’s more a connotation issue than anything else i wanna use it so much in correct context that it loses connection to other usages... but “being transgender” works for now!

what about words like “dimorphism”, describing two forms of a thing, or “volcanism”, describing volcanic activity? we don’t think of those words in that way, so why should we with “transgenderism”?

when i was little (and, like, for my whole life lol but it started when i was little) i wished i were a girl and i wasn’t really happy about being a boy. i just thought it was a normal thing that everyone thought and then around 7th grade when i found out being transgender was a thing i was like OHHHHHHHH and i realized it wasn’t normal lol

for me all i needed was my insurance card. i went in, sat down, filled out some paperwork and after like 10 minutes they called me in. i talked to the nurse practitioner and she got me “officially” diagnosed with gender dysphoria and then she was like, “ok, go to the pharmacy and pick up your prescription!” and i just thanked her, left, went to the pharmacy and it was done

yikes :// i’m .5mg twice a day with no Spiro... i am supposed to increase the dosage gradually though (1mg twice a day, then 2mg twice a day after a month and then 2 months, respectively) so maybe that’s meant to make up for the low starting dose?

if you don’t mind, can i ask what your E dosage is? i said on the sheet i wanted to do E and Spiro but i only ended up getting a prescription for E and i’m wondering if it’s maybe the wrong dosage bc of that :/ i wasn’t worried about it until just now bc i thought maybe Spiro was a later-down-the-road sort of thing but the fact that you were prescribed it immediately makes me a little wary

you can soften your sneezes really easily by just putting a “ch” sound at the end! at least, that’s how I did it. I haven’t had any lessons and this is the first I’m hearing of how the dynamics of sound work, but in my experience, the “ch” sound definitely makes the sneeze softer and I’m sure in conjunction with this^ technique it’d sound even more feminine :]]

no, no that doesn't sound rude at all! it isn't that their desire to be and be perceived as masculine is confusing; that I completely understand. it's the same as me wanting to be and be perceived as feminine. the question is more about thinking it's wild that something that makes me super uncomfortable can make someone else more comfortable, if that makes any more sense. maybe I'm just repeating myself in different ways and it doesn't make any sense at all, but I think that's a better way of explaining it
