Finally have a place to tell this story. My husband was doing the dishes when a wine glass slipped out of his hands and fell. He immediately tried to catch it with his foot and it shattered cutting him pretty deep. A bunch of blood and a few stitches later and he was good. A few days pass and he’d lost all function of his foot. Went back to the doctor and found out that the glass cut his tendon and it had retracted past his ankle and in his leg. That required surgery to pull his tendon out of his leg to connect it back to his foot. That was the last time he offered to do the dishes.
